Ifttt, a Better Way to Automate Your Web Routine

If This Then That, sometimes also called Ifttt, is a unique internet service that can make the life of an internet blogger much easier.

Imagine if you could automate your internet activities and connect two different services together. That is just what If This Then That does.
It combines two different internet services together and enables you to use them in a way you would never have imagined.

And the whole process is automated, so you won't have to be on your computer or logged into your accounts to use it.
If you have not tried it yet I suggest you do, you will be amazed.

About if This then That Service

If This Then ThatIf This Then That is a service, that automates your internet routine and allows you to do things, you never thought could be possible.
You can combine Facebook and Twitter for example. Or you could combine Facebook and Dropbox.

This web service works on the "if this happens, do that" principle. You just assign a trigger to an action and you are good to go.
An example of such a trigger is Facebook tagging. Every now and then you get tagged on a picture of Facebook.

By using this service, you could save every photo you get tagged on, just set that whenever you get tagged on Facebook, the photo should be saved to your Dropbox.

But there are many more available options, you could post every tweet you make on twitter to Facebook, or get an email whenever someone follows you on Twitter. The possibilities are endless.

This is an amazing service, that can save you a lot of time. They run checks every 15 minutes, so if a trigger is activated, it takes never more than 15 minutes for the resulted action to happen.

If This then That Recipes

If This Then That Channels

Like I mentioned before, If This Then That works on a simple principle. It has triggers and actions, which both belong to a so-called channel.

A channel is a unique service or device you use every day. Ifttt has currently 39 available channels you can use. Of course you need an account if you want to use a specific channel.

You can not use the Facebook channel, if you do not have a Facebook account.

A recipe is a combination of a trigger, a resulting action and a description on how to use it. You can make any recipe you want by combining two channels together.

The process of making a recipe is simple. If you haven't already, you activate a channel by selecting it and clicking on "activate". Mostly you will have to provide some information so Ifttt can connect to the service.

Next you have to create a task. A task is a combination of a trigger and a resulting action. The process of creating a task is easy, because Ifttt will lead you through it with detailed instructions. Once you have made a task it will automatically start working for you.

You can make a recipe out of any of your tasks by selecting the appropriate option. Because you already have the task, you just need to add a title and a description of the recipe. Once you made a recipe, anyone who uses Ifttt can use your recipe.

Recipes are the reason you probably won't have to make tasks on your own. There are already hundreds of recipes made available by people, who wanted to make their lives easier just like you.

of the christian louboutin locations i've been to in the united states and france, this is my second favourite (the first being the one on rue de grenelle). it's near impossible to find shoes that fit me, so i was absolutely ecstatic to find everything i wanted (and more!) in my size. the service from the entire staff at this small but lovely and well-stocked boutique was just great.

Very cool graphics for the article and I can't wait to try out the channels. If the weather is sunny, then set the alarm clock early, ffffind a cool image and post it on facebook and twitter.
