New Bible Study Book

My first book is now on the market! Intensive Faith Therapy - Volume 1 is a series of Bible studies designed to strengthen and build your faith, especially during times of trials, tribulations and afflictions. In this study, we will do an intense examination of our trust, hope, faith, praise and thoughts toward God. This will help our faith to grow and for us to finally see the manifestation of God in our lives like never before.

Does Your Faith Need a Shot in the Arm?

As Christians, we sometimes hate to admit that we have moments of weakness and doubts. We try to be strong for all of those around us but sometimes our faith gets weak. Perhaps we believed God for something and it did not work out. Maybe a loved one did not recover after we prayed the "prayer of faith" or maybe we found ourselves filing for bankruptcy although we proclaimed that God would "supply our needs". When our faith has been tried, it sometimes gets weak before it gets stronger. This bible study series is designed to rebuild your faith so that you can experience God's "abundant life" in your daily living.

Trusting in God

In section 1 of "Intensive Faith Therapy", we examine how much we trust God. Do you really have a relationship with God or are you just casual acquaintances? Chapter 1, The Desires of Our Heart, looks at several conditional promises in the Word of God, specifically Psalm 37:4. Next, we look at how to trust God in our present situation. We then examine some of the testimonies and promises given in the Bible for those that trust God. Finally, we discuss our requirement to trust God. We are commanded to trust God. For the true Christian, It is not a choice.

Hope in God

Who is your hope in?

Hope is one of the essential building blocks of faith. If you are feeling a sense of hopelessness, your faith will be weak. Since faith is the "substance of things hoped for", without hope there is no faith. In chapter 5 of "Intensive Faith Therapy" we rediscover how to have "great expectations" in God. Biblical hope is different from that of the world. The world hopes for things that they do not really expect to happen. As Christians, our hope is built on Christ. Therefore, when we have hope, we fully expect it to manifest into something that we can see.

In chapter 6, we take a sobering looks at what to do when you feel that God has taken your hope from you. We look at how to recover your hope and faith in the face of tragedy and destruction.

Finally, in this section we look at the roles tribulation, patience, experience and the Word of God play in building our hope, which will in turn strengthen our faith.

Faith in God

Do you believe God is able to handle your situation?

In this section of "Intensive Faith Therapy" we take a long, hard look at our faith. If you were arrested based on your "awesome" faith in God, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Would Jesus marvel at your faith and proclaim it to be "great faith" as He did the Roman officer or would you be as His disciples were, "O ye of little faith"? Jesus often proclaimed to those that came to Him looking for deliverance that the results would be according to their faith. We also look at how to activate God's promises through our faith.

Thoughts

How does what you think affect your faith?

In this section of the book, we examine God's thoughts and our thoughts. God has made it clear that His thoughts are not our thoughts. We are not always going to understand why God does what He does. That is beyond our control. What we can work on is our thoughts and beliefs. We discuss the importance of renewing our minds concerning the things of God. It's decision time. Are you going to believe God and His Word? If so, we are promised that all things are possible to them that believe. In chapter 18, we look at the dangers for having a doubting mind. We must address doubts as the dream killers they are. We can no longer allow doubtful thoughts to subtly undermine our faith.

Praise God

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

We close our study with praise to God. In this section, we examine how important our praise of God is to our faith. When we "magnify" God, we make God bigger than all of our problems and circumstances. The more time we spend in adoration and thanksgiving, the less time we have to deal with doubt. God desires our praise. He has blessed us tremendously and has much more in store for us. As we develop a more intimate relationship with God, our faith will increase to the point that we will experience more of the manifestation of God's glory during our time here on earth.
