Building an igloo in your garden

Ranked #16,069 in Parenting & Kids, #635,751 overall

Create your very own igloo in your garden

"Wow the kids and astonish your neighbours" by learning how to build an igloo in your own garden. You won't need any fancy tools or equipment, just a few inches of snow, some good waterproof clothing and a simple set of instructions. Free step by step instructions are available at www.igloo4you.com

Are igloos the new snowmen.

With your help they can be.

For years we had never attempted to build anything more adventurous than snowmen (or should that be snow people), but following a trip to Lapland in 2004 we discovered that anyone could build an igloo as long as they followed a simple process. Three years of trial and error and practice led to the completion of the igloo4you instruction manual. This manual shows you how to build your very own igloo. You don't even need a lot of snow ( a couple of inches will do).

Our last igloo (shown above) built in our front garden in Falkirk, Scotland was built in just over an hour after a snowfall of only about 3 inches.

Many people think we're mad but igloos are great fun to build, even more fun to play in and are far cooler than snowmen.

So why not help us make igloos the new snowmen by spreading the word and ensuring that as many people as possible get their hands on their free igloo building instructions.

We would love to see your own attempts at building an igloo or snow sculpture. Post your pictures to andy@igloo4you.com and we will load as many as possible on the site. If you hurry you may still be in time to feature on the 2008 igloo4you calendar.

Happy building.
