iGoogle personalized homepage

iGoogle is a personalized homepage for Google that was introduced in 2005.

The iGoogle service is free and is much like Pageflakes, My Yahoo!, and Microsoft Live.

iGoogle can be customized with themes, RSS feeds, and iGoogle Gadgets.

iGoogle content can be further organized in user defined tabs.

iGoogle Gadgets

iGoogle gadgets are HTML and JavaScript based applications that bring content and interactivity to iGoogle home pages.

Applications such as clocks, calenders, weather forecasts, games, and more are in the iGoogle gadget library.

iGoogle Themes

iGoogle users can select themes, such as the Earth Light theme above, for their iGoogle homepage.

Many themes are animated depending on local weather, time, or other factors.

In 2008, the iGoogle theme library was expanded to include the work of professional artists.
