I'm Internet Famous!
I am not afraid to admit it. I am a habitual self-googler. I've done it in the airport, at home, at the coffee shop, on the couch and even on the front-seat of the mini-van.
If you've never googled yourself check out the explanation (below) and give it a try.
Sometimes what you'll find is embarassing, often enlightening and at the very least intriguing!
Why do I google myself do you ask? Vanity? Boredom? Fear that someone is talking behind my back? Sometimes, yes and sometimes.
Actually, as a blogger, writer and website designer I usually just google myself to find out if I've been indexed yet...or in layman's terms, to see if I am "Internet Famous".
Since it looks like I'm still on the D-list of internet fame, I've created this lens to keep track of my progress and learn more about my issues with self-googling.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Egosurfing, also called egogoogling, autogoogling or self-googling, is the practice of searching for one's own given name, surname, full name, pseudonym, or screen name on a popular search engine, to see what results appear. It has become increasingly popular with the rise of popular search engines such as Google, as well as free blogging and web-hosting services. It is sometimes combined with third-party tools such as GoogleFight when several people egosurf together.
Similarly, an egosurfer is one who surfs the Internet for his own name, to see what, if any, articles appear about himself.

- Well I have to admit it, I have done it too! So I guess it could be normal... Actually one of my customers once told me all the stuff he found when he put in my phone number, I never thought to google my digits, it was quite interesting.
