Wii Fit is one of my favourite games
I must admit I was dubious about it at first. I thought it was just a cynical ploy to get non-gamers to buy the Wii as if it was just another piece of exercise equipment that will sit under the bed with the "Ab-Tasmic-Thigh-Step-Master-5000!"
But then a couple of good reviews swayed me, so we got it. And the verdict so far? Well firstly I love the yoga! The daily body tests are cool for keeping track of your progress. You can enter your other daily (non-Wii Fit) activities in your activity log, so the Fit Cashgraph looks good even if you don't have time to do any of the training exercises.
The balance games are probably the most fun. I love the ski and snowboard slaloms, the soccer ball heading game and the ski jump. It seems that different people are good at different games, which is good for keeping the competitive spirit going!
It does suck though when I'm exhausted from a long day at work, and then I log in to Wii Fit and want to keep playing more games than I have energy to play.
I guess that's part of why I think Wii Fit is so great. It's not a tedious exercise regime that you'll do anything to avoid. Once you've switched it on you want to try and beat the high scores, or just spend time on there to unlock new games and exercises!
Another good point is that the little animated Wii Fit Balance Board that takes you through the body test is very cute!

Wii Fit Reviews and News
- I've Lost 16 lbs In Six Weeks With Nintendo's Wii Fit
- Quote - "I've heard several critics mention that, instead of spending $90 on a video game, users might be better off buying a real hoola hoop and yoga mat. Well, a hula hoop is never going to call you a Yoga Master and jump around cheering when you reach your fitness goal."
This pretty much sums up why I love the Wii Fit too. It's a personal trainer for those of us who can't afford to get a real personal trainer! This article also raises the point that because it's a video game, it taps into the competitive way that we play video games and makes people actually stand up and do something when they would normally be sitting down playing games anyway! - Muncie family enjoys Wii Fit at all ages
- This story about a family that plays Wii Fit together highlights another great thing about the Wii Fit. It's the sort of game the whole family can play, even those who can't stand video games! It's especially fantastic for the elderly, because they can do gentle exercise in the comfort of their own home.

- Terrific lens! I had my first Wii experience recently (bowling) and had so much fun, I just might ask Santa for a Wii Fit for Christmas this year. Love the parody video!

Horse Computer and Video Games

When I was a young horse crazy kid I dreamed of having a horse game for our computer. It's taken game manufacturers a little while to realise that nearly every girl goes through a horsey stage, but I guess they've got the message now. Today I walked...
