The Illuminati Game has been reincarnated many times since its inception in the early 1980's.

It started out as an obscure black and white card game with the goal of "taking over the world" and creating "the New World Order"....

This is the original 1982 version of the Illuminati Game by Steve Jackson Games.

It is pretty plain when it comes to artwork, but plays quite interestingly anyway.

It is completely out of print and almost impossible to find.

I own one of the expansion sets (first) (the one in the picture here is the Original Illuminati Game and the 3rd expansion set).

This is a premise that has been around for centuries and is being played out for real in real life world politics.

Under the guise of many different things, the Illuminati have been controlling most, if not all world governments...with a variety of goals, mainly that of eventual world domination.

So, the Illuminati Game is a game of intrigue, mystery, evil intentions, and taking over the world... but with a very tongue-in-cheek attitude.

This version is was the first "limited" printing of the Illuminati Game that came out in 1994.

This was the game with the artwork and commentary that has launched literally hundreds (if not thousands) of blogs, web sites, YouTube videos, comments, and more all across the World Wide Web.

The limited edition was one run and had artwork that had all gold titles.

The cards were the same (except for a handful where the artwork was changed) in subsequent versions.

The Limited Edition was the original colored artwork collectible trading card version of the Illuminati Card Game.

When using the Limited Edition Illuminati Cards, it is important to note that the Illuminati Cards themselves were only available in starter decks. This is particularly important if you are trying complete a deck of limited cards now.

You will have to make sure that you have starter decks that are limited edition (it would be stated on them) and they are extremely rare.

But, you would probably be able to get the missing cards from a trading site (there are many around the world, and I have some links below).

The unlimited version of the Illuminati Card Game came out right after the limited version.

There were deck packs (coming with two 55 card decks that were collated, and fairly randomized in order to give card players a variety of cards.

There were common, uncommon, and rare cards included, as well as Illuminati cards in the starter decks as well as the booster packs.

The artwork and writing on these cards is slightly different than the limited version in that the titles are colored similarly to the cards (instead of being in gold, as in the limited version)..

There were also a few cards that had artwork changed as well.

When the limited cards came out there were a few changes to the playing rules of the game, which people who have the limited version from before would have to make note of for tournament play.

But, these cards were made with the same back designs, so they can be played along with the limited cards as well as be incorporated into limited playing decks without problem.

The INWO Assassins booster packs used to be available from the Steve Jackson Games.

They are basically almost not available anywhere now.

I probably bought up the last of them from practically everywhere in the world :)

I have many cards for sale and almost a complete set for sale, as well.

I am also willing to trade some of my ultra-rares for other ultra-rares that I haven't been able to get yet.

In any case.. the Assassins are great cards.. interesting, and great to play (if you are a casual or tournament player)...

If you are a collector you really HAVE to have them to complete your set... and since the INWO cards are soooo collectible, particularly as of late.. there are an absolute MUST HAVE.

The INWO Illuminati cards are extremely collectible.

In fact, all of the items surrounding the whole Illuminati Game theme by Steve Jackson has become unbelievably collectible over the years.

Now, every game, card, version, etc in the whole series is more collectible than ever due to the fact that some of the cards have acted as "prophecy", or, rather, inside information.

While these cards are still available in many places, they are getting more and more rare.

There are items that are no longer available anywhere (like the Subgenius Expansion Set) which is why the price is sky high.

The Bavarian Fire Drill is another one that is sky high, along with the INWO Book, Crime Lords, and the Starter Decks.

So, if you are interested in this game to either play or collect... snap up whatever you can now, because pretty soon it's simply not going to be available at all.

The values of the Illuminati Cards varies depending on the version and condition of the cards.

Obviously, played cards are far less valuable than mint condition cards.

Complete sets are far more valuable than incomplete sets.. and rare cards are far more valuable than common ones...

Over all, the Limited Version Starter Decks are pretty impossible to find, and, thus, they are quite valuable.

But the Unlimited Version of the Starter Decks is now becoming quite rare, also, and the price has started to skyrocket, so if you find starter decks for a good price, go for it.

The Limited Version of INWO Illuminati Cards are more valuable for collecting then the Unlimited Version.

The Assassins cards are extremely valuable, mainly because the print run was not that large.. and there are rares and ultra-rares.. many of which are extremely difficult to find, which has pushed up the prices of these cards.. into the hundreds of dollars for only one single ultra-rare Assassins card.

From the Illuminati Game, the Deluxe Illuminati Game is still in print and, thus, is still going for its normal price.

The Y2K and Mutual Assured Distraction Expansion Sets are still going for their normal prices, as well.

But, the Bavarian Fire Drill Expansion is extremely rare, thus its price has gone high.

The Brainwash Expansion is another impossible to find expansion that is out of print, and thus, the value is quite high.

And the Crime Lords (stand alone game) has gone crazy, because it is impossible to find, also.
