This is No Comic Book
While I was out shopping with my wife I found this New Testament Bible from ICB. The shiny hard cover with the comic book bubble text, over frame by frame realistic images, caught my eye. So I picked it up to have a closer look.
Thinking that it would be another "Bible comic book" for kids, with the story of Christ told in a "story" format, and not, biblical chapter and verse, I was shocked to find that they used the actual text of the bible with the illustrations as a backdrop. This format kind of makes it a Bible Movie Book. A cartoon Bible if you will... For me, it has been the best Bible.
Yes, this book is made with kids in mind. Not a 40 year old Deacon. But I am so glad that I found it, because I have to admit, I have never enjoyed the effort it takes to read the Bible. But in this format, I no longer have to force myself to read it, I enjoy it, I even look forward to reading it. Finally, some Christian books for children like myself.

- I am glad you happened to look down at that shelf. With grand kids growing up and for that matter my kids still growing up, these books will soon be on my book self. Anything that will help my family growing in spirit, body and mind. Well written
