The D-I-Y And Decorate Lenses

This is the aim: balancing time, work, and money.

If you have plenty of money to burn, I don't suppose most of my lenses on remodeling will be of interest to you. I have always worked on a budget, and a rather tight one at that. I do have champagne tastes, however, and that makes me a bargain hunter. I know i am not alone.

Sometimes having that one great item that you splurge on will create a sense of luxury and beauty. Sometimes it just makes you happy everytime you use it or look at it. I think you should get that item, and then pare the outgo in another area.

Be wise about that sense of perfection and don't forget that your time is important, too. No house, no matter how grand or beautiful, makes up for scrimping on family memories together. My gardens are not what they used to be as we have spent more time on vacations together. And that has been fine by me. It is true for house projects, too.

Balance is the one great wisdom of life. Find that wisdom.

My husband and I both write posts for this blog, although we have been too busy with actually doing the work to write about it lately. Isn't that the way it always is? It is for me, anyway, it is a choice of either gardening and working on the house or writing about it. I try to keep it all balanced, but guess how successful that endeavor happens to be? Yep.
