French fries can be more then just a side dish - there are plenty of easy ways to spice up this dish and make it a favorite meal for your household.  Perfect for lunches or a special side dish for the kids - the adults will find these just as delicious!!

Chili Cheese Fries 

an old favorite

fries topped with chili & cheese
fries, chili, shredded cheddar, sour cream
  1. follow directions on fries to make them in the oven
  2. with 5 minutes to go remove from oven and place in casserole dish
  3. add 1 can of your favorite chili (or 2 cups home-made chili)
  4. sprinkle shredded cheese over the top
  5. place back in oven and bake for 5-10 minutes or until cheese bubbles
  6. serve with sour cream

Pizza Fries 

a perfect treat for any pizza loving household!!! all you need is a bag of your favorite frozen or refrigerated plain french fries, 1/2-1 cup of pasta or pizza sauce, 1/2-1 cup of shredded mozzerella cheese & your favorite pizza toppings (optional). (sauce and cheese varies on personal taste)
  1. bake fries as directed on package until almost done (flipping regularly) in pie pan

    (casserole dish, or 1 inch deep cookie sheet also work)
  2. Remove from oven & turn broiler on
  3. if fries are scattered move then to the center of the pan
  4. cover fries lightly with sauce, cheese & toppings
  5. place under broiler for 5-10 minutes until cheese melted and bubbley
  6. allow to cool 2-3 minutes before seving
  7. to serve slide onto plate - or cut and serve like pizza

Nacho Fries 

with meatless option

When your in the mood for mexican this is a great treat and easy to make!!! You need:
French Fries, shredded cheese (colby/jack or cheddar or both) taco seasoning, 1 lb ground meat, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, black olives (optional) & green onions (optional)
  1. cook fries in oven as directed on package until almost fully cooked
  2. while they are cooking - in pan make ground meat with taco seasoning as directed (if going meatless sprinkle taco seasoning directly onto french fries)
  3. remove fries from the oven, if using a baking pan transfer fries to a casserole dish or pie pan
  4. place a layer of taco meat over the fries (any extra taco seasoning sauce pour over the fries)
  5. add a layer of shredded cheese to the top and continue cooking in oven until cheese is melted (if fries are already fully cooked place under broiler for 4 minutes)
  6. in a small bowl mix sour cream & salsa
  7. slide onto plate and & top with sour cream.sala mix & guacamole allow to cool and slice like a cake and serve with a side of guacamole & sour cream/salsa mix!!

Garlic & Parmasean Cheese 

an italian twist on french fries. You need:
1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 cup grated parmasean cheese, french fries
  1. make french fries as directed on package
  2. mix 1 tsp of garlic powder with 1/2 cup of parmasean cheese
  3. sprinkle garlic & parm mixture over fries before serving
  4. for a dipping sauce try onion dip (sour cream mixxed with liptons onion soup) or ranch dressing
