Who is Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba born in Pomona, CA on April 28, 1981. Jessica and her family moved to Bilox, Mississippi when she was an infant. Three years later, her Air Force father brought the family back to CA, then to Del Rio, Texas, before finally settling in southern CA when Jessica was nine.
 

Jessica Alba's career began over a decade ago when she started taking her very first acting class at age 12. After studying with William H. Macy and his wife Felicity Huffman, Alba later landed her first agent the following year. Since then she has acted in several feature films, as well as starring in her own television series, the recently cancelled Dark Angel. Being voted this year by People Magazine as one of "50 Most Beautiful People", it's hardly in question why she'd be cast as the Invisible Woman.

For Alba, who has been very vocal about her desire to play strong female roles that are seen for their abilities and not as just eye candy, playing the Invisible Woman has definitely been a career hi-light. "It's been really nice to dive into a character and be a chameleon, to change and show different sides of yourself. She's intelligent, and she's maternal," said Alba, "She keeps these boys in line, she takes care of business when she needs to, and does it all like a lady."

Like any other actor who has been successful in their work portraying a comic book superhero, there is the chance that the actor can be seen as that character for the duration of their career. For Alba, this does not to seem to be much of a fear at all, as she responds to this question with a simple answer: "Sue has blonde hair and blue eyes." (Which Alba had to adopt specifically for the role). "I'm free and clear!"
