I Love Joyce Meyer
As you know, being a Christian, is a day to day process. We must continue to grow in our walk. Reading of the scriptures. Finding a church that teaches us that we must accept Jesus as our personal savior, by inviting him into our hearts. Believe that he died for us. Confess our sins.
There are many things available to aid us in our spiritual growth. First and foremost, "The Bible."
I know as a christian it's hard to do daily devotions. But to continue to grow. I encourage you to make it a part of your daily routine.
Here you will find a large selection of Joyce's most popular products. Plus her latest books, "Conflict Free Living," and "The Secret To True Happiness," and "Never Give Up!"

Stress
Let Go Let God
by Joyce Meyer
Stress is on the rise in today's world. The good news is that although Christians may be in the world, according to the words of Jesus recorded in John 17:16, we are not of the world! We don't have to operate in the world's system-thinking, talking, or acting like the world-and we shouldn't! In fact, our attitude and approach toward situations should be entirely different from the world's.
The source of our stress isn't really difficulties, circumstances and situations. It's our attitude and approach toward them. The world (unbelievers) responds to difficulties with upset, but Jesus said in John 14:27 to stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed%u2026. He never promised that we wouldn't have to deal with anything disturbing or disappointing.
In John 16:33, Jesus said, ...In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] Jesus said difficulties would come our way, but they don't have to upset us. We don't have to accept the stress being offered. We have the privilege of approaching the challenge in a calm, peaceful manner.
Recently, I've noticed in a greater way than ever before how my own situations can be turned around by the right attitude and approach. If I approach something in dread, I have already set myself up for misery before I begin. If I believe that something is going to be hard, I get what I believe! On the other hand, if I refuse to dread or have a negative outlook, I open the door for God to work and help me. I'm learning to push my "reset button" when Satan gets me upset!
Stop Thinking and Talking About Your Problems
The state of upset or arousal sets off an alarm in the body to defend itself from threatening, hostile events. Even thinking of an upsetting event or imagining danger can also trigger the alarm. A chain of responses are set into motion inside us to fight or run from the circumstance.
Don't Be Overcommitted
Do you have too much to do? This seems to be the number one complaint I hear today. When I ask people how they are, about 50 percent respond, "I'm busy." Common sense tells us that God isn't going to stress us out and lead us to do more than we can. Therefore, if we're being led by God's Spirit, saying yes when He says yes and no when He says no, we should be able to accomplish what He gives us to do and walk in peace. Do you need to say no more often? We should be sure when our heart says no that our mouth isn't saying yes. Sometimes trying to keep other people happy can make us very unhappy. A person must be really careful in this area, especially if he has a tendency toward being a people pleaser.
Receive God's Grace
Grace is the power of the Holy Spirit to live without stress. God, however, won't give us the grace to be disobedient. If He's telling us not to do something that we decide to do anyway, we'll experience the painful loss of His anointing. Grace equals ability. God gives us grace to match our call. When we do our own thing, we do it on our own. When we follow His leading, He always supplies the energy. Remember, God will feed Isaac, but we will have to feed Ishmael!
Remember when God promised Abraham and Sarah a child? They got ahead of God and worked out a plan to have Ishmael. Finally, Isaac came according to God's promise. Ishmael's name means "man of war." Isaac's name means "laughter." Ishmael represents works of the flesh, which always produce struggle and stress. Isaac, however, represents waiting for God's promise, which requires faith and always brings rest.
God wants us to burn on, not burn out! Burnout comes from physical and emotional exhaustion, especially as a result of long-term stress. Stress depletes our bodies; our immune systems become weak, and sickness-even depression-can set in. Are you suffering from burnout? Manifestations include extreme fatigue, headaches, insomnia, gastrointestinal problems, tension, nerves tied in knots, inability to relax, and no medical explanation for the symptoms. Other symptoms may be emotional exhaustion (crying easily), anger, negativity, irritability, cynicism, and bitterness about the blessings of others.
Burnout causes you to be "out of control" and no longer producing good fruit. Ignoring God's laws causes burnout. You can't overwork your mind, emotions or your body and not eventually pay the price for excess. Whose pace are you moving at? Is it the pace God has set for you or someone else's pace? Are you stressed-out from trying to keep up with everyone else? Are you living under the stress of competition and comparison? Are you a perfectionist with unrealistic goals?
I believe we can live stress free in a stressful world, but it will require some decisions-possibly some radical decisions. Allow God's Spirit to lead you out of a stressful lifestyle and into one of peace and joy.

Fight Like a Girl: The Power of Being a Woman
Today's twisted pictures of gender roles create confusion over how a woman should define herself. Women and men are encouraged to move closer to center and away from the traits that distinguish male from female. How can women feel good about themselves when society is constantly dictating what they can and should be? In FIGHT LIKE A GIRL, Lisa Bevere exhorts us to embrace the differences between sexes. Her goal is to encourage women to celebrate the unique aspects of femininity. Instead of trying to adopt ill-fitting character traits, women should see themselves as designed and valued by God and savor their femininity as their strength, not a flaw.

God's mighty warrior
For those of you who do not know this remarkable person, I encourage you to.She was born, Pauline Joyce Hutchison Meyer. June 4th, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri.
After her Father had returned from fighting in World War II, he began molesting her. She openly discusses this, in interviews, and sermons.
After graduating from O'Fallon Technical High School in St. Louis. She married a part-time car salesman. Shortly after her senior year of high school. The marriage lasted five years.
After her divorce, Meyer frequented local bars before meeting Dave Meyer, an engineering draftsman. They celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2007.
One morning in 1976, while driving to work she heard God call her name. Joyce was heading for the biggest change of her life.
She began leading an early-morning Bible class at a local cafeteria and became active in Life Christian Church, a fledging charismatic church in Fenton. Within a few years, Joyce was the church's associate pastor. The church became one of the leading charismatic churches in the area, largely because of her popularity as a Bible teacher. She also began airing a daily 15-minute radio broadcast on a St. Louis radio station.
In 1985, Joyce resigned as associate pastor and founded her own ministry, initially called "Life in the Word." She began airing her radio show on six other stations from Chicago to Kansas City.
In 1993, her husband Dave suggested that they start a television ministry. Initially airing on superstation WGN-TV in Chicago and BET, her program, now called "Enjoying Everyday Life," now reaches a potential audience of 3 billion people around the world.
Her success for the Kingdom of God, has had it's share of criticism.
Joyce is often criticized for living an opulent lifestyle. She claims that she doesn't have to defend her spending habits because "there's no need for us to apologize for being blessed."
I have read the negative comments, My Brother James David Manning accused her of being whoreish, when she made a comment about her clothes. I say to him, read, Matthew 7:2-5
I have a great respect for Joyce Meyer. She's got attitude and guts. Stands firmly in her beliefs. She lives what she preaches. She shares her knowledge and love for God, with thousands who are trying to cope each day.
I have grown from her.
Yet my walk is not without stumbling. I am blessed that I have wonderful mentors to lean on. My Uncle Bob, who is the Pastor of our church is a great inspiration.

A Little About Me
Part one
My Dad worked at a local factory. Never missed a day of work. Money was extremely tight. Yet he was old school, and believed mom should stay home. Tend to the house and kids. Myself and four annoying brothers, (just kidding). Our household revolved around Dad's love for the Chicago Cubs, and his latest venture. Collecting coins, stamps, or playing football pools, and the lottery. Dreams of becoming rich never happened.
Friday nights were spent with visits from my granny. The beer of choice was Schlitz. The adults would play pinoche, or penny ante poker. Other times we would sing while mom captured it on her old reel to reel tape recorder.
Sunday mornings were not spent in church, followed by a grand meal. Dad was usually watching wrestling. We were playing, and Mom was in the kitchen.
I must have been about twelve. Outside, getting ready to find the next adventure. I seen a girl with the longest hair walking by the house. Not knowing a stranger, I walked over to her. I proceeded to ask her who she was. Candy was her name, she lived on the next block. From that moment we were inseparable.
It was through this friendship, I discovered Jesus.
You see, I practically lived at Candy's house. If I stayed over saturday night, I had to go to church with them sunday. Okay, I thought, I'll give it a whirl. Before I discovered Jesus, I found Jack. Candy's cousin, and three years older than me. His family were members of the church. I thought, there's something to this church thing. So I continued to go.
A Little About Me Part Two
I've included pics, of my son, daughter and grandson
Notes were passed, and after a few years, kisses were stolen. My make-up was a tad heavy for a young teen. And my clothes, a bit gaudy, perhaps. I stood not even four foot eight inches at the time. Was I over compensating? Needless to say, his parents didn't think I was quite good enough. My first love, my first broken heart. Then came the chance to go to church camp. I was so excited. The money was raised through the church, to send us. As I said earlier money was very tight. Having none for neccessities, I went to the local dimestore. There I filled my pockets, with make-up, and things I would need for the trip. I never got caught. That is, not until later.
I had never been away from home for a whole week. If I could be gone for a week, I would be safe. I had a secret, that I had hidden for as long as I could remember. No one knew that for years, a close relative had been sexually molesting me. It was only after I was married, that the secret had to be told.
That was one of the best weeks of my life. We had a wonderful, Godly woman as our counsler for our cabin. Mentioning how Mountain Dew made her giddy. We had to see it for ourselves. She acted like she had had a twelve pack of Schlitz.
On our last night, after much laughter, things turned serious. She began to talk of Jesus. How he could take our burdens from us. We just had to invite him into our hearts, believe that he died for us, confess our sins. Even at my young age, the guilt of stealing overwhelmed me. I had been caught. Such a heavy load I had upon my back. To this day, I have never felt more free as I did that night. The night I gave everything to Jesus.
My Dad, Candy are both gone now. Jack was never to be my life partner. My walk with the Lord has been a work in progress to say the least. I am fortunate that I have dear family and friends who keep me from straying too far. Especially my Aunt Pam, thank you.

I have shared this small portion of my personal life, to give you a little insight. Also to let you know why I am drawn to Joyce Meyer.
We have had similar circumstances in our lives. Through God's grace we have overcome them.

When we set out to share our opinions, beliefs, we must also be prepared for what will surely follow. It was suggested that I get the word out by using several different sites. Which I did. Most have been very successful. Along with that success, I have had some very disturbing comments. Which to be very honest, was quite overwhelming at first.
I shared the comments in our forum, here at Squidoo. The other Lensmasters, have been wonderful. Their advice, prayers and support, have been outstanding. I publicly thank all of them.
My thoughts, on Joyce Meyer, are solely my opinion. I feel she has helped many through the years. And, I admire her for that.
If there is the smallest thing in this article, that will help someone who is struggling, then it will be worth it.
Just trying to save another one for Jesus!

I have never heard of Joyce Meyer until my daughters nurse Marie told me about her. My daughter was in a horrific car accident Sept. 17, 2007 that left her in a semi-conscious level. I was angry with God. How could he allow this to happen. I talked to my Pastor. He said it wasn't God but God is using this situation to bring me back to him. I started watching Joyce after living nine months in various hospital and between reading the bible and listening to her, I have no doubt that my daughter will come through this.
