Who is I Love Lucy, Lucy Ricardo and Lucille Ball!

Lucille Ball has been gone for many years but still, her show has not been off the air EVER since it first aired! Turn on the TV and you'll find it on some channel, at some time, on some day of the week, everywhere in the world. Like Elvis Presley, everybody knows Lucy Ricardo , whether they watched the show (shame on you if you didn't watch it!) or not! To be rated #2 on TV Guide's Top 50 Greatest Shows Of All Time and to place in the Time Magazine's "The 100 Best Shows of All Time" is quite an accomplishment, especially since it first aired back in the early 1950's - it is still remembered and loved.

Lucille Ball left us many, many years ago but her legacy still reigns supreme. She was one of the last of the great comedians - Carol Burnett is the only one we have left these days. Classic comedy. Nothing but laughs!

With all the great I Love Lucy episodes, we all have our favorites. However, one of my all time favorite movies is a movie Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz made just before the I Love Lucy series ended. " Long Long Trailer " was made in I believe 1958 and was the funniest movie ever made - still is! Classic comedy, wonderful story and laughter all the way! The two just get married, buy a 40 foot travel trailer and hit the road to see the American National Parks on their way to their destination of Colorado. Part of it was filmed in Yosemite National Park. I have probably watched it a few hundred times in the past years, but still...everytime i watch it I still laugh and laugh! You just gotta get the movie and watch it!

I have the screen saver of the stick figures of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo going to the drive in and now....thanks to Mozilla Firefox , I can have I Love Lucy as my toolbar persona! I just started using Firefox and was surprised to find that the browser has what they call "personas". Many to choose from but I did a search and found I Love Lucy and now I have that wonderful chocolate factory episode scene at the top of my computer screen where all the address bars and tool bar buttons are. It's really cute...even has a cute little row of chocolates along the status bar bottom of the screen!!

This is one of my all time favorites! WHen Lucy goes on a hunger strike in order to get a Marcel original dress, Rick and Fred fool her (and Ethel) by making them weird dresses from burlap sacks and horse feed buckets! When the girls find out, they burn the dresses, but then see the fashion designer had stole THEIR designs!
