Lou Diamond Phillips is the King of the Jungle!
Lou was voted the winner of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. An early favorite, Lou showed leadership and compassion to his fellow celebrities. Well done Lou!
The very successful UK reality show is attempting, for the second time, to be a hit in the US. Unfortunately the producers don't seem to have learned anything from the first attempt, and the series has descended into inanity and sensationalism. I'm actually quite disappointed.
"Celebrities" are put in the middle of the jungle, with only the basics to keep them going. They are able to acquire "luxury" items by winning mini-contests. And, of course, they are slowly voted off by the viewers.
It started on NBC on June 1. The hosts are Myleene Klass and Damien Fahey.
First to be sent home: Angela (voted off)
Second: Francis left to be with Angela
Third: Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt finally left due to Heidi's bad tummy
Fourth: Daniel Baldwin (voted off)
Fifth and Sixth: Holly Montag and Janice Dickinson (both voted off)
Seventh: Stephen Baldwin (quit because he didn't like the bugs)
Eighth: Holly Montag (Brought back to replace Stephen, booted off again)
Ninth and tenth: Patti Blagojevich and Sanjaya (voted off)
Eleventh and twelfth: John and Torrie
Daniel Baldwin replaced Spencer and Holly Montag replaced her sister, Heidi. Holly then replaced Stephen.

Episode Recap
- Episode 101
- The teams enter the jungle. "Jungle Diner" sees them eat yucky stuff. Heidi and Spencer leave the show (twice) but return. Someone stole their shampoo the second time... The trauma tank challenge starts.
- Episode 102
- Even though they have left the show Heidi and Spencer hang around. The trauma tank is finished. Stephen Baldwin baptizes Spencer Pratt (sigh). The voting lines are opened - none of the boys can be voted off and Patti Blagojevich was safe also.
- Episode 103
- Speidi try to get back on the show. Daniel Baldwin turns up. Some childish stuff goes on (what's new?). This Speidi stuff is getting tiresome.
- Episode 104
- Angela was voted off. Speidi pouted a lot. That's about it really.
- Episode 105
- Heidi and Spencer spent the night in the Lost Chamber and Heidi was rushed to hospital with a bad tummy. Spencer said they were leaving (again). Francis decided to leave to join her partner Angela. Apparently Holly Montag is going to show up next episode.
- Episode 106
- They hung around a lot. Holly joined. They didn't like her. Then they did. Janice ate too much and peed next to her bed. Speidi didn't show up.
- Episode 107
- They sat around a lot. Janice has been stealing granola bars. There was a challenge. John, Patti and Daniel are in the "bottom three". Daniel is voted off (was it worth showing up?).
- Episode 108
- Stephen missed his brother. Janice couldn't poop. Sanjaya rubbed her tummy/
- Episode 109
- Janice had to go to hospital where they induced pooping.
- Episode 110
- John Salley (as leader) makes himself immune. They do some other things and talk a lot.
- Episode 111
- There's mud wrestling. Two are voted off - Holly and Janice's bowels (and Janice). The rest get letters from home. Speidi turn up in the studio.
- Episode 112
- Stephen quits because he's skeered of the bugs. Janice and Holly beg to come back. They choose Holly. She's then eliminated again.
- Episode 113
- They compete for a salad. Sanjaya and Patti are sent home.
- Episode 114 - The Finale
- It's the finale. Lou won. He seemed very happy about it. Well done Lou.
Background to the Second Season
The second season of '''I'm a Celebrity?Get Me out of Here!''' premiered on June 1, 2009 and concluded on June 24, 2009. The season, aired on NBC, a revival of the ABC series of the same name and continued to follow the same format as the original British series. It is also broadcast in Ireland and the United Kingdom. In Ireland, the show airs on TV3, three days behind the original NBC airings, and in the UK, it airs on ITV2 with a seven day delay. This show has been airing on STAR World in South East Asia, Hongkong, Taiwan and Korea from July 08, 2009.
With the network change, the series changed hosts, with Myleene Klass and Damien Fahey presenting the second season. The revival began with eleven contestants who were originally split into two teams: red and yellow. Shortly thereafter, the eleven contestants were split into teams based on gender. The contestants have been announced! Who do you think will win?Celebrity reality shows (and this one particularly) have been criticized for not having real celebrities. The issue here is that if they are A-list then they have better things to do. So you're not going to get Zac Efron on Dancing with the Stars (for instance) - his agent would never allow it! The reason celebrity reality shows work is that the viewers don'e have to work as hard to get to know the contestants - they already know them, or they can easily find out.
