I communicate with them through my iMac
I have belonged to a homeschooling/unschooling moms group for about 13 years. Members come and go but there is a core of us there who have been chatting together for years and years. Some of our children are grown and in college now or have families of their own, and we are not homeschooling anymore but we stick around because we are friends and we can mentor the new members.Together we have supported and prayed each other through births, deaths, marriages, divorces, moves, empty nests, the Terrible Twos, illnesses and accidents. We have swapped recipes, home remedies, cleaning tips, movie recommendations and potty training tips. We are family and sometimes we even talk about schooling.
Although I have met seven of these wonderful ladies in person, they all live in my iMac and I meet them there every day.

"I purchased the 24" 640GB/4GB iMac from Apple because I received a substantial discount through my company, and one week later it arrived. I was extrememly excited to open the box, and after doing so was not disappointed. The computer comes packaged beautifully, and looks awesome. Everything about the design and packaging exudes minimalism and simplicity. I plugged in the keyboard, mouse, and power cord, pushed the power button, and was off. The startup included a cool animation followed by the typical registration/configuration screens. About 5 minutes after pulling the computer out of the box, I was exploring the massive desktop and checking my email. The software runs smoothly, and everything loads instantaneously. The computer runs silently, and restarting the computer takes about 15 seconds. The keyboard is wafer-thin, and is not the most ergonomically-sound piece of equipment I have seen, but it is still very nice, and the mouse is the best I have used."

I love this because it is out of the way and there is no clumsy tray to deal with.
Staying in Touch with Family
I can reach my family through my iMac
Much of my family lives half a continent away from me and it is hard to get together. My Mom and Dad do not have a computer with internet access but they live very close to my brother who does. I can send pictures of my family and Mom and Dad can look at them at my brother and sister-in-law's house.
Then there is my son who is serving on the USS Nimitz. He is not real good about checking his email, but once in a while we will get an email from him. He is now equipped with a Flip Mino Video Camera which will upload video to YouTube so we can follow him on deployment as navy operational security allows.

All the ports on the Apple iMac MB420LL/A 24-Inch Desktop are on the back of the monitor! All the cords are out of the way! I've seen poorly designed laptops that have USB ports all over the place including in the front. This set up works perfectly for me. There is no tower so everything is in one piece of equipment, except for the keyboard and mouse.

Squidoo is in my iMac!
I create Squidoo lenses on my iMac
My iMac holds all the tools for me to create lenses on Squidoo. My word processing program is here along with lots of files with photos. Through my iMac I access SquidU to show off new lenses, chat, and critique lenses. My Squidoo Mastermind group is in my iMac too. My wonderful little group of Squidoo friends who encourage and help each other to succeed. Then there is RocketMoms and Giant Squid Summer School, all of them living in my iMac. Cafe Press and Zazzle are in there too which are also important to me.So you see, I could never leave my Apple iMac MB420LL/A 24-Inch Desktop behind if I had to leave in a hurry. It would be leaving my friends and family and a big chunk of my life.
