Anne Youelly Presents Seasonings Restaurant

When I was asked to review a restaurant I jumped at the chance to tell everyone about Seasonings- my favourite place to eat in Faerieland.

Seasonings consists of four restaurants taking up the same space. Don't ask me how it works, I'm an artist, not a scientist! These restaurants are split into the four different seasons. Fancy having a traditional Christmas dinner in the middle of July? Not a problem! Just drop into Rudolph's traditonal Christmas feast. Pining for Summer in the middle of Winter? Titania will take care of you!

If you ever find yourself dragged over into the realm of faery then make sure you pay a visit to Seasonings. Just take a left at the bluebell patch and walk widdershins around the henge.

Who We Are

A little bit about the staff.

Opposite: The only known photo of Anne Youelly in existence.

Anne Youelley
Seasonings is the brainchild of Welsh recluse Anne Youelly. Anne's always had a love of faery food but she's very shy and prefers to run things from behind the scenes, letting the other four take the reins. Anne enjoys reading, fishing and spending time with her partner, Janus.

Titania
Titania was Seasoning's first recruit. She runs the Midsummer kitchens with a little help from her friends: Cobweb, Peaseblossom, Moth and Mustardseed.

Jack Lantern
There isn't a pumpkin recipe that Jack hasn't tried. His beautiful partner Autumn Windling joins him in our second restaurant.

Rudolph Rain-Dear
Rudolph was a favourite actor of Anne's from the 1920s. When she discovered how much he loved Christmas she knew she had to get him on board!

May Pole
May Pole runs the Spring kitchen with her extensive immediate family. If there's one thing May loves more than cooking then it's her children.

Seasonings is Famous!

Beloved restaurant of the rich and famous.

Seasonings was a favourite of artist Vincent Van Gogh.

Below is his painting of the unassuming facade.

The only evidence of Van Gogh's intoxication from fairy food is the coronas of light in the sky depicting Titania's fairy court as they leave the premises after a hard night's work.

Midsummer Feast

Titania

Our Midsummer host.

Faerie Guardians

Name
Titania

Age
Never you mind!

How long have you been working at Seasonings?
Shortly after I got together with Oberon, back in the Elizabethan age. My changeling boy was all grown up and leaving the nest and I didn't know what to do with myself. Well, that was when I met Anne and we got talking, she mentioned her restaurant and the rest is history!

Which restaurant do you run?
Titania's Midsummer Feast.

What can people expect from your restaurant?
Titania's Midsummer Feast is all about enchantments and spells. It's the perfect place to bring someone special and woo them.

What's your favourite dish on the menu?
I've always had a soft spot for the Pavlova.

Is there a dress code?
Yes. Renaissance casual, also no trainers.

Titania herself can often be found behind the bar... or reclining on it.

Sir Geoffrey

Happy Customer.

"I proposed to my wife, Gladys, over dessert at one of Titania's infamous Midsummer Night's Feasts.

I'll never forget that night. I arranged to have Gladys brought to the restaurant and then I met her in Titania's gardens where we rode down to the candlelit lake on my trusty steed, Roger, picking at the delicious salad as we went. We watched faeries dancing among the bulrushes and were treated to a chorus of frogs croaking.

The Moon was full and smiled down upon us.

There I took Gladys's hand in mine and whilst she popped a purple cupcake into her mouth I asked for her hand in marriage.

We've returned there every year for our anniversary."
