Inspirational poetry from my heart

•I'm a writer; so, I must write.

•I seek to provide motivation and wisdom through entertainment. Some of it is short inspirational poetry and some of it is long inspirational poetry.

•My writing conveys my witty personality.

I like to think of my writing as being both; prolific and profound.

•I try to write in a story format; so that it can be easily understood. I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

I'm digging deep within myself

Soul Searching

Through the depths

Look inside your soul
For that last bit of sanity
You can be sure that it won't cause a calamity
If things were to arise
That would bring shock to your eyes
Would it make you cry?
Or would it just make you wonder
Why you don't understand
The rules of the land
To play in this band
No matter
What is, is
That is the jist of this biz
So, what I say to thee is this
Learn and grow as much as you can
Stand with the band and do what you can
While in this land
Then, you shall progress
On to bigger and bigger success.

If you're searching for your soul...

Then you're in the right place

If I think I can, I can

Challenge

Challenge yourself
To be better
Challenge yourself
To wear a sweater
Challenge yourself
In the winter time
Challenge yourself
And you won't go blind
Challenge yourself
To follow your vision
Challenge yourself
In times of derision
Challenge yourself
To make decisions
Challenge yourself
To achieve your goals
Challenge yourself
And you'll never grow old.

Are you aware?

Of what time it is?

The time has come

The time has come
To thine own self be true
The time has come
To do what makes sense to you
The time has come
To step out on your own
The time has come
To welcome the unknown
The time has come
So, it's time to seize it

What time is it, again?

The time is now

Right now

The time is now
To make it right
The time is now
To put up a fight
The time is now
To be your best
The time is now
To take the test
The time is now
To persevere
The time is now
To have no fear
The time is now
To look within
The time is now
So let's begin.

NEXT TIME

Next time I hold you
I hope that you'll see
That the love I have for you
Burns inside of me

I want to help you

The touch

The touch
The tingle
The intermingle
The chance glance of circumstance
Where on Earth can this all lead
Can any good come of it
Only time will tell

To touch?

Or not to touch?

That is the question

My heart tells me

My heart tells me
What I need to see
My heart tells me
What I ought to be
My heart tells me
To look within myself
My heart tells me
I'm like no one else
My heart tells me
I'm one of a kind
My heart tells me
That I'm not blind

My heart is on the line

My heart is on the line
I have a picture in my mind
Of what I will allow myself to feel
As I sit and ponder
I have to wonder what is real
I face the world, despite my plight
To prove my only way
I don't know if I have
What it takes to make it through the day
My heart will save me
Oh yes it will
So, just sit back and chill

Take your heart with you

Wherever you go

It's a wild adventure!

Life

Poetic little ways

The lights of the city
Brighten up the night time sky
Where things are alive
And move with pride
In the twinkle of an eye
When the sky lights up after thunder
It amazes the human eye
Lightening bolts go everywhere
And boggle the human mind
It's thunder and lightening
Striking without warning
In the mist of the storm
As you cuddle with a blanket
To keep you warm
The lightening, and thunder
Comes and goes as it pleases
With no discrimination
Of who it teases
Tonight
Is filled with joy and mystery
Look inside that little locket
That you have around your heart
And you will find the inspiration
To make a new start
Tonight
Is shrouded
In a bed of roses
Inside your beating heart
Is a little bit of love
That likes to come out
And fly like a dove
Tonight
Inside your heart and soul
You can look at what is real
And look at what is true
It can help you determine
What to do
Tonight
You have choices
To make your own history
Out of this mystery
That we call life.

If you want success...

And you want it to last

The Way To Success

Real Success

Change
It always happens

Rips you right out of your shoes
You always return to the mirror
Just to get some good news
If you face the truth
And you hold no regrets
There is no telling what will come
When you are put to the test
So, pull up your boot straps
Go out and fail some more
Soon you will be knockin
On successes door
Don't quit or give up
You have to show them what you're made of
And prove you're tough
The proof is in the pudding
So they say
Go out and face the light of day
You will be ok

I need more...

Love

Love
Is what it takes to move mountains

As you drink from the fountain of youth
And hope for a better tomorrow
Love
I wonder, do you have
Can you tell the difference
From the good times and the bad
Do you ever think about
What you really have
Open your eyes
To love throughout the day
And don't listen to
The criticism that others say
Be true to your heart
Be true to yourself

And no one can tell you
To go to hell

Patience is a virtue...

So;

I wait

I wait for things to take shape
And move the earth beneath me
I forever think about
What is in my heart
And if it will make a difference
In this world that we live in
So I struggle
Through the pain
Through all the seasons
And the rain
If I reach out my hand
Will you take it
Help
We all need it at times

Should I get directions?

Lost

I seem to be a little lost at night
I wish I could fly above the cause
Then I could offer
A little ray of hope
To all, those souls, that seem,
A little lost
I wonder about the daytime
And I wonder about the night
I just need this fear inside me
To cease at the morning light
I don't like this feeling
And I can't take it anymore
So all I have is sunshine
Going out that door
Lost
It is just a feeling
That I can't really describe
But you will know it
By the tears running from my eyes
I don't know what it's gonna take
To keep me from feeling
A little lost

Passion is burning...

Inside my heart

This feeling

I got this feeling
Deep inside my heart
That I don't know where to start
Or where to end
I just keep breathing
Right on through the day
Hoping things will be ok
If experience has taught me anything
It is to look inside my heart
For things that are true
When I don't know what to do
But think of you
Here I am
Lost in your eyes
There's a feeling in my heart
That I just can't disguise
Here I am
Lying on the floor
Crying like a baby
To hold you once more
Was it a dream that I had
Why does it feel so bad

Make sure that you...

Hold onto your heart

It's the only one you've got

If you can see through the darkness
And into the light
You can make it out of tough times
And even through the night
Hold on, to what's in, your heart
Cause it will be, forever,
Your place, to start
Just hold onto your heart
No one can ever take it away
From you
Hold onto your heart
Cause in the end
That is,
All you've got
Through the good times and the bad
And even through the sad
Your heart will always guide you
And show you a better way
So, don't feel betrayed
By what others say
In the depths of your soul
You will always know
What is best for you
So, don't ever say
That you don't know what to do

Shh, I'm busy...

Pondering

The winter turns to star light
And the dusk turns to dawn
Why have I waited
For so long
To let my light shine
Through this heart of mine
Now is the time
To let it be
Amongst the forest and the trees
I'm in a time of need
I crumble to my knees
And grab my heart
So I can breath
I have been shuddered throughout life

So, I'm sitting here and I...

Wonder

I still wonder about
The things that touch
My heart and soul
I search for that human connection
To love again once more
How much time do I have?
Nobody really knows
As I touch the stars
In the summertime
Of the big dark sky above
I fly like a dove
My mind wonders to places of love

I'm so confused

Expressions

Expressions from the heart
Is a good place to start
If you want to know things
That are really true and sincere
The promises that you keep
Make you walk lighter on your feet
If you are a person of your word
Your words won't go unheard
Into the starlight
And into the dawn

Change The World

One Person At A Time

Change

The clock keeps turning
And the heart keeps yearning
For a place to belong
While I sing this song
Events happen
That remind me
Of satin, lace, and leather
As I look around
Everything is as light as a feather
Change
Will rock you to the bone
It will drive you around
Through the unknown
It will shock you to the core
And drive you out the door
Hold on to your boot straps
You're in for a ride
Forget about the weather
And your foolish pride

I'm feeling musical

Here's a...

Song

In the lights of the city
And the heat of the night
You can feel the passion
Burning bright
I know it's just a feeling that we all know
It really drives you
To your heart and soul
It's the feeling
That rocks you to the core
So, you're going out the door
Just to have it again
It's the feeling
That rocks you to the core
You're going out the door
Just to have it once more
When it grabs you and you're feeling right
You can take on the things in your sight.

My inner child...

Is just aching to get out

The smart ass

What?

Hey, welcome to my imaginary ways
I count the days but, who says that I need to limit anything?
I live the truth and retain my youth
I don't squander without ponder
For I count my days
I live not in fear
Because I value change.

What if I try and I fail?

Persevere

Persevere and you will see
Persevere and you will be
Persevere into the night
Persevere and you'll take flight
Persevere through the valley
Persevere through the alley
Persevere in your walk
Persevere in your talk
Persevere and you will see
That all of your dreams will come to be

Persevere...

Persevere with all your might
Persevere and put up a fight
Persevere and do what's right
Persevere through the night
Persevere through the pain
Persevere through the rain
Persevere and you will gain
Whatever is on your mind.

I like this one, from Elizabeth Gilbert, " It is not the world's fault that you wanted be an artist(/writer), now get back to work"

At times we lay too importance on finishing, on creating a product that is beautiful, but as it goes, to create one beautiful master piece, you MUST keep CREATING and keep adding value to your art, coz that's how it grows.

Keep writing
