What are you MOST concerned about in the world today?

In this day and age we all have concerns about the world and how the decisions we make will affect our future and the world around us. What condition will the planet be in when our children inherit it from us? Will we ever find a way to live in peace with one another. Will we have enough money to grow old comfortably?

Please take a moment and think about what you are MOST concerned about in the world today?

My Inspiration...

This lens was inspired by my 12 year old daughter's science fair project. She wanted to know what issues and causes people were most concerned about in the world today so she set up a poll on Blogger. Although the poll only ran for a week the results were truly interesting and somewhat surprising. Her project was unique because she divided her polls into three age groups so she could see what differences in the answers between the age groups. She learned a lot from the experience and won a trophy for her project.

I thought it would be great to create a similar list but leave it open for additions instead of limiting the list to ten issues.

Please forgive me if I did not include an issue that is close to your heart and you feel deserves to be on this list.

Everyone is welcome to add to the list!!

I Tried to Keep it Simple.

Despite my urge to add tons of modules and pictures, I tried really hard to keep this lens simple because I really want it to be your voice as well as mine, your opinion, your ideas, your solutions, etc...

The root cause of many of these problems, and a major contributor to many of the others, is too many people. While there have been human rights abuses throughout history, when overpopulation was not a problem, most of the rest come straight from there.

Nice lens design. 5*

having lived homeless in a tent built out of a tarp and cinder block, for 8 months after disaster (flood) struck our family a few years back, I have to say homelessness and hunger are issues that I feel very strongly about, because I've seen them first hand. Our family was lucky to be able to pull through it on our own and slowly work our way back into a normal life again, but since than I've had a completely new outlook on what it means to be homeless. Living on the streets is not what most people think it is, and it's far from being like what you see on tv and movies, it's hell not knowing when the next meal will come, not knowing how many days it'll be before you can find some scrap of food to eat, or worse trying to stay warm during a blizzard when the only shelter you have is a plastic tarp. Our family was lucky, but so many others are still out there on the streets, and something must be done to help them.
