Improve Singing: Start Singing Like A Pro Today!

Would you like to learn how to sing good or perhaps just improve your singing a little? Do you want to be the next American Idol OR are you looking to sound good at the local karaoke bar? Hey don't laugh. I like to have fun too! And since I'm too old to meet the age requirements for American Idol, I'll either have to settle for the local karaoke bar or move to England where I could perhaps be included in the "Britain's Got Talent" competition! lol

Of course, there could be many other reasons someone might want to improve their singing. Perhaps they belong to a church choir and would love a chance to sing a solo, or perhaps you play guitar or keyboards in a rock or country music band. I could go on of course, but you get the idea. I don't really know the exact reason why YOU would like to improve your singing, but I commend you for making the decision. You won't regret it.

How To Improve Your Singing Through Repetition

Repetition - The Mother Of Skill?

Improving your singing will bring you fantastic rewards. Trust me on this. As you probably already know, singing is fun and when you start to see improvement in your singing abilities, you'll wonder why you didn't pursue it sooner.

Here's the first thing I want you to think about. To be good at anything, no matter what it is, you have to do it often and repetitively. To put it another way, to be good at anything, no matter what it is, you have to do it repeatedly.

You may have heard this saying "Repetition is the Mother of Skill". To prove this point, think about the things you already do well. If you're honest with yourself, I'm sure you'll agree that you've done those things more than a few times.

Improve Singing Through Frequency

Practice, Practice, Practice

Perhaps you've heard the story about the New Yorker who is approached by a stranger on the street who asks "Pardon me sir, can you tell me how to get to Carnegie Hall?" See Photo ------>

The New Yorker replies "Practice, Practice, Practice!"

How true, how true?

How soon do you want to see improvement in your singing? If you're like the rest of us nowadays, today would be good. However, we all know most worthwhile things in life take time to develop and singing is no different. The good news is that you can accelerate your results by being disciplined.

Daily practice and repetition means YOU have to take action and there is no substitute for that.

Try not to skip any days whether it is a weekend or a week day.

Every Day Matters

Why is singing everyday so important?

There are many reasons, but let me give you just a couple here.
Whenever we begin to learn something new, it is important to have some success quickly. Otherwise we may become frustrated and uninterested.

If we sing everyday as opposed to perhaps... once a week, we are bound to see some success or some sign of improvement much sooner. And that may be all we need to kindle our desire to sing better and even more often.

Another reason is because it is only common sense to conclude that the more you do something the better you'll get at it. Look at the sports world for instance. How often do you think Tiger Woods plays golf? How often do you thing Andy Roddick Plays tennis?

I once heard a story about a famous concert pianist who said something like this...

"If I miss a day of practice, I know it.
If I miss a week of practice, the critics know it.
If I miss a month of practice the audience knows it."

Improving Your Singing Starts Today

Sing it out!

To begin your improvement, start today to sing as often as you can and as repetitively as you can. Of course, I realize that you must be practical. Anytime you're alone is usually an opportunity to practice. You should definitely be able to sing In the shower unless someone is sleeping. I can usually practice in my car, provided I'm not at a red light. I don't want folks to think I'm not playing with a full deck. LOL

Remember the concert pianist and SING IT OUT!

Today... tomorrow, the day after that, the day after that, the day after that, the day after that...
