Improve Your Life and Prosper

First, take time to do a personal assessment of your strengths and weaknesses; then evaluate what you think could be improved. This self-assessment requires honesty. If you were honest with this step, you have taken a giant step toward self-improvement. You have admitted that there are areas in your life that need improvement. Much like an addict on the road to recovery, the first step is to face the reality of what you need to do for yourself!

Financial prosperity may be the one puzzle piece most often focused on in the quest for success and prosperity. There are several simple steps that can help pave this path. Again, this will require time, work and effort. First, you must set your destination before you begin the journey. This means setting goals. Goal setting for short term and long term success is vital. Write these goals down on paper and post them where you can see them often. Commit these goals to memory. Secondly, you need to develop a plan of action to achieve each goal. Again, put this plan in written form. Third, as you work toward these goals, always provide excellent service and/or an excellent product. You must be a person of excellence.

As you write your goals and action plans, keep in mind one of Zig Ziglar's teachings ". . .if you'll just help enough people get what they want, you'll never have to worry about what you want." You will achieve your financial goals and then some.

Of the thousands of books written about prosperity, the Bible may well be the oldest. It is not only filled with guidelines for spiritual prosperity, the Bible contains numerous references to material prosperity. In the Book of John we read: "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." This theme of prosperity can be found throughout the Bible. Spiritual prosperity is one part of the total picture, but it is the most important piece. It should be the foundation we stand on. Financial prosperity endures for our time on Earth, but spiritual prosperity endures forever.

Throughout the Bible, we learn of God's desire that we prosper, but we are cautioned that the love of money is wrong. Again, we need a blend of spiritual, financial, personal and physical prosperity. When we achieve this blend, we will not focus on one area of success to the detriment of the other components.
