Can online communities like IM Report Card help you get through the hype and find the real deal?

Lots of things do work, and lots don't The problem is that what works for one person won't necessarily work for another. As well as Squidoo I write on Associated Content, and that does help to bring in a bit more income, as well as getting me a bit more well known in the field of writing. I blog a lot too, and use Adsense directly, as well as Adsense Revenue Sharing to increase exposure to my articles/lenses and to earn more money. A good example of this is what I have done at Best Reviewer (http://www.squidoo.com/best_reviewer).

This is true Kim. Sometimes it is just a case of sour grapes. But users also have the opportunity to rebut other users' opinions

I guess it depends on their own agenda. Some of these forums are great for finding out about scams, but often you find people bad mouthing opportunites that didn't work for them, but work well for others. It's important to trust who you're getting information from. IM Report Card is probably worth a try.
