My Big Brown Bag

1) 2 bag organizers - I called one of them "my diaper bag organizer" and the other one "my bag organizer". I have made the pink stripes one myself because I cannot find a bag organizer that has a separate compartment for diapers and clothing.

2) Baby wipes - I love Tollyjoy's baby wipes. They were good for oily fingers and mouths. They smelled good.

3) Folded plastic bags - for soiled clothes and more.

4) Gastric pain tablets - I will have gastric pain if I do not eat on time.

5) Tic Tac Sweet - to keep my mouth busy.

6) Packets of dry tissues - Although I love my wet wipes, the dry tissues are cheaper than the wet ones. Dry tissues are great for wiping wet hands.

7) S$1 coins - I kept a few S$1 coins in a separate compartment in my bag for easy access when I need them for the supermarket trolley. We will need to insert a S$1 coin into our supermarket trolley so that you will return them to a proper place after you have use them. The S$1 coin act like a key to unlock a shopping trolley. When you return a trolley, you will use a key from another trolley to "poke" your coin out.

8) Paper measuring tape - This paper measuring tape was from Ikea. It is handy and small to keep in a bag. This is useful when you are thinking of buying anything that require to be fitting.

9) Herbal Candy - This is a good herbal sweets for a sore throat.

10) Vitamin E lip balm from The Body Shop - I cannot live without this. I need to apply lip balm everyday or else my lip will crack. I kept one in my bag for emergency.

11) PastaMania club application form - I love pasta and it look like I will save a lot more if I sign up to be their members since my family goes there so often.

12) A translucent bag - for small vouchers.

13) Canon Power Shot A550 - This is the camera that I use to shoot most of my pictures.

I have made this diaper bag organizer for myself. I need something that I can keep my son's diaper, his spare set of clothing and all his stuffs in one place so that when daddy want to change his diaper in the male toilet, he do not need to take my big brown bag with him.

This was what I have inside.

1) 3 diapers - This is usually enough if we go out for a whole day.

2) A set of clothing - 1 t-shirt and a pair of shorts

3) A changing mat - This is good to have when you have to change him on a bench.

4) Socks - 1 pair for my son and 1 pair for me. If we decide to let my son have some fun at some indoor children entertainment center, we will have to wear socks.

5) 2 plastic spiders - to scare my son.

6) Nappy rash cream - I seldom use diaper rash cream anymore but I just have one in my bag, just in case.

7) Die-cast Vehicles - to entertain my son when he get cranky.

8) Crayons and pens - for my son to draw on my notebook.

I brought this handbag organizer in a Japanese online shop for S$20, around USD$13. I love this handbag organizer because it is really useful when I have to go out without my son. I will just take the organizer out from my big brown bag and put the organizer into my small pretty handbag and I am ready to go. With this bag organizer, I will not miss out anything and I do not have to do any packing.

1) My Prada Wallet - This was a gift from my husband when he was courting me. It has been with me for more than 10 years.

2) My Bonia key case - I brought this for myself. It hold my mom's house key now. I can go to her house anytime I like.

3) My notebook - I have written down all the books that I wanted to read here. Whenever I goes to the library, I will look for the books. There were t-shirt design ideas, lenses ideas, to do list, all sort of measurements, website addresses, things to buy, stickers paste by my son and many more.

4) My Nokia N95 - I have forgot to include my phone in the picture.

5) My Ezlink card - I need this card to take public buses and train in Singapore. I use public transport most of the time.

6) 1 big Envirosax bag and another small one - I am trying to reduce the use of plastic bags. I keep 2 reusable polyester shopping bags in my organizer so that I can use them when I need them.

7) Clorets mint tablets - to keep my mouth busy.

9) Dettol instant hand sanitizer - This come in handy when you cannot find a toilet to wash your hand.

10) Nokia music headset - to keep myself entertain during long bus journey.

11) My Montblanc pen - This is given by my dad.

12) Medicated oil - They are good for mosquito bites, headache, itch, dizzy and more.

13) My swiss knife - I love my swiss knife. My sister brought one for me when she went to Switzerland on vacation. I will buy a bigger one for myself if I have the chance to visit Switzerland.

14) Batteries - for my camera.

15) A lip balm and a lip treatment with color.

16) A small bottle of toilette - just in case I need to smell nice.

17) A travel toothbrush - I often made suddenly decision to stay over at my mom place.

18) A compact mirror - This was a Christmas gift from one of my good friend.

19) A hair band - I have brought 1 hair band in Bangkok, Thailand because I need it badly at that time. It has last me for more than 10 years and I have only one hair band.
