In-Transit Opt-In List-Building
For the Internet Marketer, one of the most essential activities must surely be list-building.
Some time ago, it was possible to embed an opt-in form in your Squidoo lens. This was achieved through the use of an iframe.
However, it turned out that the iframe's versatility was its own undoing. It suffered so much abuse that its use was banned.
So how would you ask your lens readers to sign up to your special offerings?

Opt-In and Return-to-Lens
Squeezad Optin Wizard (SOW) is the answer.
SOW cloaks your links, then displays an opt-in form, or whatever you choose, while the visitor is in-transit to the link's destination.
For us affiliate marketers, the link is an affiliate link which SOW cloaks for us. The destination is usually our product vendor's website.
As you can appreciate, Squeezad Optin Wizard is an extremely powerful tool for building a list of visitors who may be interested in what you have to offer before you send them away to the vendor's site.
For the Squidoo lens, you simply specify the same lens as the destination.
In other words, you are not sending your visitor to a merchant destination. You want them to come back to your lens. So you simply tell SOW the lens URL.
What happens is that when the link is clicked, your reader is taken to an opt-in form where they can sign-up in exchange for whatever you've promised them.
After a preset amount of time, say 30 seconds, the reader is returned to your lens.
