2009 Is The New Beginning
For four years, Americans have been focused on the year 2008 as a chance to get right what it got wrong in 2004. However, the real new beginning for America begins in 2009, on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009.
This lens brings focus on that day as the beginning of a new era for America - the Obama Era.

- After 8 years of Bushism, really time for some fresh air. Obama is definitely an agent of change, given that he himself represents a major change - the First African American President in the history of America. May be deliver good news for the economy and peace for the world

J. Edgar Hoover On Barack Obama and Martin Luther King Jr.
The real message of Martin Luther King Jr. was freedom for all people - does Obama measure up?
Why does Barack Obama support and continue to use the FISA Amendments Act, which restores the kind of unconstitutional warrantless wiretapping that J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI used against Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.?
Inauguration Fashions
Tshirts that celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama in 2009
Activists are buying up tshirts to show their great pleasure and relief at the beginning of the Obama Administration and the final end of the national shame that has been the Bush Administration. The following collection got my attention, both for the messages on the shirts, and because these shirts are manufactured and printed in the United States - a distinction that's very important in these hard economic times.
This t-shirt caught my eye because of the way that it adapts the old pro-Bush motif of one letter of the alphabet standing for the President's identity. W the President is replaced by O: The President.

Americans who have had the discipline to pay attention to events over the last several years have long seen that the 2008 presidential election would be a contest between the politics of hope and the politics of fear. This tshirt helps you make the pleasant observation that, in 2008, hope won.

Finally, there's this welcome retort to the most inane Republican objection to Barack Obama - that he has the wrong kind of middle name. Yes, Barack Obama's middle name is Hussein, but what does that prove? If you're one of those obnoxious anti-Obama activists who loudly insisted on calling Barack Obama by his entire name, Barack Hussein Obama, then the least you can do is get the name completely complete. Obama's full name? It's President Barack Hussein Obama to you.
