Therefore getting Links to your website is of paramount importance. Remember though that to search engines not all links are created equal: some links are deemed to be more important and will have more value than others. The best links are those from high quality, highly ranked pages with a topic related to your site.

Submit Articles to Article Directory Sites
One of the best ways we know to get quick inbound links and traffic is to write and submit articles to Article Directory sites. There are lots of sites which are set up just to collect content. They allow visitors to copy the content and use it on their own websites. You will add a resource box at the bottom of each article and it is here that you will be able to add links directly to your site. Normally you can have two links so use one for the home page and one for a product page. Keep them relevant.

Again Press Releases are a great way of getting inbound one way links for Newswires and it may also get picked up by Google News. Inbound Link Building Technique - Article Marketing

We are trying to avoid any possible current or future duplicate content filters.

If you do not have the time to write articles you can outsource them to a ghost writer.
You can find writers on iFreelance, Rentacoder or Elance or even Craigslist or Ebay if you look.
Once the article is written then you will need to submit it to the sites listed in the back of this guide under Article Submission Sites.
You will add a resource box at the bottom of each article and it is here that you will be able to add links directly to your site. Normally you can have two links so use one for the home page and one for a product page. Keep them relevant.
You could use an automatic article submission tool, which are great tools to automate the process of submitting articles to all these directories. But to be honest you will probably best off just finding 5 or 6 main article directories and also 5 niche article directories relevant to your website.

Inbound Link Building Technique - Press Releases
Press Releases are a great way of getting inbound one way links from Newswires and it may also get picked up by Google News. You will not only get inbound links but real traffic directly from the stories you publish.We only tend to publish Press Releases online although you could send them to the national / regional press as well.
Ideas for Press Releases
- Statistics
- Convert articles into Press Releases
- Issue Releases in response to other companies' Press Releases
- Subscribe to Google News and register for News Alerts for all your major keywords. This will then send you an email once a day with the latest stories relating to your keywords.
- Visit PRWeb and use their Search Engine to get an idea of what other companies are writing about.
Most of the time, the links that are generated here will be direct to your home page.
The best place to start submitting Press Releases is to PRWeb. They now have removed their free listings so you have to pay $80 per release minimum depending on the bonus features you can apply. You may also find that there are sites in your niche that have a new service and could lift your press release from one of these services and publish it. It may also be worthwhile trying to build a list of these sites so you can send them your press releases directly.
Inbound Link Building Technique - Directories
These are a great way of building inbound links. Some charge a fee and some are free.For fee paying links we would definitely recommend paying to be listed in the Yahoo! Directory.
We also recommend that you only add 5 - 10 submissions to the free directories per day. One, because it really is soul destroying work! And secondly, it will keep you under the radar for large link increases.

We also suggest that you vary the link text for each entry. Build five keyword links and descriptions.
All the links for Web Directories will link to your home page but still mix up the link text. This works better than anything else and shows you are building links naturally.
We have found a fantastic piece of Software which will help you submit to over 650 directories pretty much automatically and they constantly update the number for directories they use. When we first used it they had 400, now they have 650 and it grows all the time.

It is not just web directories we want to submit to. Do you have a blog? Submit that to Blog based directories. Have a newsletter? Submit it to Ezine directories. Have a forum? Submit it to Forum Directories and if offer a freebie then list it with the Freebie directories.
This will drive you lots more links and more important relevant traffic.
Inbound Link Building Technique - Link Exchanges
While not as effective as it used to be, reciprocal link swaps or link exchanges can still be useful in driving traffic and boosting your rankings if you do it right.The key we always use here is relevance. Only swap links with those sites in your field. Build a page for each link section you require.
You could have directory page that has seperate pages for different product types that relate to your main site theme.
For example an Insurance website could have a directory with pages like:

Car Insurance
Critical Illness Insurance
Home Insurance
Travel Insurance
Pet Insurance
Income Protection Insurance
ASU Insurance
Mortgage Protection Insurance
Each menu item above is its own page where you will trade links with sites that have that keyword as their focus.
The best places we have found to get link swaps are www.linkpartners.com and www.linkmetro.com. They are all form driven and you can search their link partner databases by Keyword to find link partners.
The great thing about these services is they have worldwide links so you can get links from across the globe.">
Inbound Link Building Technique - RSS Feeds

I want to show you how you can use them.
The first thing you should do with your RSS feed is add it to your account startpages at Google, Yahoo, MSN.

Sign up for each one, it will be well worth it.
Each time your RSS Feed changes or is updated then you will automatically be telling the major Search engines of those changes.
Syndicate your feed - Ask related websites if they want to display your feed on their website. Build a Widget so they can cut ands paste your widget and display it on their website. Find out more about Widgets here:

Why not swap feeds with other webmasters and display each others feeds.
Inbound Link Building Technique - Got something to say!
Giving your opinion on something, adding a comment on a blog or sending someone a web testimonial can be a good way of driving links back to your site.There are 2 provisos
1. Have something meaningful to say beyond "cool site dude!"
2. If it is a product testimonial make sure you own the product! It is your credibility!
Nuff said.
These will more than likely be homepage links but you can get deep links if you are lucky.

Remember Link Building is not just about SEO you can drive huge amounts of traffic direct to your site using no-follow, redirect links or javascript links, as long as it is in the right place....

Imagine having 5 or 6 different freepages in different locations that do the same thing. Some of these freepages can even rank themselves.
