The Newest Leonardo DiCaprio Flick

Yes, I do believe it will sweep the Oscars this year! Really! The acting was wonderful but the animation of crumbling skyscrapers and cityscapes that bend up on themselves are superlative.

I went to this movie one night after work. It was so good I forgot all about the "real world" and afterwards I felt like I had actually been on vacation for a week. I was so refreshed when I went to work the next morning. This is by far the best movie I have seen in YEARS - an I see a lot of movies.

This nail-biter movie is all about a dream within a dream. I am have an advanced degree in psychology and the writers of this movie really understand dreaming, images, and symbolism. I was fascinated. The open to interpretation conclusion was very satisfying. I think the top kept spinning - what do you think?

Who is in Inception and What Is It About?

Warner Brothers presents the new film by the 39 year old British-American director Christopher Nolan, this one taking on a sci-fi psychological spin for the serious-minded action auteur, with Leonardo DiCaprio as Cobb spearheading the cast. Emma Thomas serves as producer, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, and Ellen Page rounding out the supporting roles. Marion Cotillard plays Cobb's dead wife Mal. Cobb is a crook for hire using a combination of drugs and technology to infiltrate the sleep of corporate mucky-mucks and steal inside information. The story starts out showing Cobb's two children with their backs to the screen. He is estranged from the kids because he is suspected in killing Mal.

This movie is a sci-fi action thriller were the mission is to plant an idea inside the subconscious of the son of an energy company mogul (Cillian Murphy) using a process called "inception". The early part of the film shows the team training a new recruit (Ellen Page) on manipulating the dreaming mind. Thank God we are not actually at this place in dream technology! This is one trippy flick.

Even though I was tired when I went - no one could sleep in this movie! I actually found it invigorating - what fun! An adrenaline rush.

Way to go - a beautifully shot film and I loved the special effects!

    the only Oscar I see this movie deserving is the Visual Effect trophy. But even then I preferred Scott Pilgrim vs the World's endlessly inventive visuals over the artless style of Inception.

    I absolutely loved this movie. I heard some people found it confusing,but I don't see why if you just follow the dream levels.

    My husband, son and I saw Inception in the theater - and LOVED it! We got the DVD as a Christmas present and watched it over the holidays. Amazing, all around. Have you started a duel on whether the top continues to spin? ;-)
