It is possible to rank in Google
Absorb the text and videos below as I show you the easy to use methods that can get you some targeted traffic. Just by piggy-backing Squidoo's PR-7 website and carry you to the top page of Google.
Why keyword research should be your first step for your content...
Perhaps it's not the first step. The first step is that spark of content in your head. This lens was only going to be a video for one of my other lenses. Then after I found some great keywords to rank for, well it tuned into another lens. I guess I will have to shoot another shorter video for that other lens.If you don't have a method or software to do research, I would recommend that you get one. It is really easy and fun. Google's keyword tool is a good place to start, but you are still just guessing. There are some resource links below that will help you out. Otherwise you are shooting in the dark.

I'm getting ranked for a term that gets 165,000 searches a month!
This is where Squidoo comes in

I like Squidoo the most because there is so much you can do. If you take a look at all the modules that you can use, it can turn a simple post into a lens that has great value and turn viral. Squidoo may seem a bit intimidating at first, but just get in and get started. There is no way to loose when you put it to work with regular practice. The way they measure your success with a percentage bar allows Google and you to know what needs to be done to get your lens to rank on the first page. Combined with a targeted keyword you have a winner in the works.
Another cool thing about Squidoo is their donations to charity. Yes, you have an option to donate a portion of the Adsense revenue to a cause.
Ten tips for building a lens
- Always use free pictures or pictures that you own. Don't just grab any picture. I usually search for free pictures or use one I already have. You can also have fun with it by making your own photos with friends and family.
- Find and use the best keyword in your title. Then sprinkle that keyword and other related keywords around in your article. Make it natural. This is super important to get page rank. Remember to make it a doable keyword with a least 1000 searches per. month.
- Always write a catchy intro to your lens. This is what people will see in the organic search result. It is your ad to your site. I explain this in the in the first video. This will increase interest in your article and you will get more views.
- Organize your lens so that it flows together. Mix up your modules so it's not boring. Try 1 or more new modules each time you build a lens.
- Give out links that are of value and keep your affiliate links to a minimum. People want good content not a list of all your affiliate links or a bunch of Amazon products. Give stuff away for free.
- Give out your very best content. Put some time into your research and people will love it. Make it so good that you personally will want to go back and read it.
- Go back a day or so later and reread your lens. This is a great way to see if it is really that good. This will help you find grammatical errors and text you may want to add or delete.
- When you run out of ideas take short break and come back. Most of the time you will have some fresh content to add or perhaps change some.
- Make your content fun and interesting. Ask a question that makes people think. Put a pole or survey on your lens, then make sure that you post it to Facebook and Twitter to get people involved.
- Share and share your lens with everybody you know. Getting friends on Facebook is easy, so you have no excuse. In the next list below I will give tips and places so you can promote your lens.
Guest Blogging
Search for sites that are in your niche and get to know people. Ask them if you can do a guest post. If they hold a good PR and get traffic, it's in your best interest. Guest blogging is a great way to get contextual links.( A contextual link is your page link hidden under the keyword you want to rank for.) For example: You create an article and you want to rank for, "stuffed pillows" put a link to your pillow stuffing lens under that word using the link fuction. When your high PR ranking friend publishes the article on his blog you get a good link to your site. I would say this is a top link building strategy, because it looks like the "pillow stuffer guru" is recommending your page. Thus giving you an excellent back-link and some possible immediate traffic and traffic is the bottom line. Lens Love Widget

- You did great job, I just have to add page rank is not the same as ranking position in search engines what is our main goal ... As this lens is educational you should maybe emphasize the difference. Good PR on one page (e.g. squidoo lens) and link to your lending site can boost ranking (SERP)of your lending site.
Thanks for some new resources. All the best!
