Why Do Cardio Machines Not Work to Increase My Metabolism?
You'd be surprised how much weight you will lose when you're HAVING FUN!
- Treadmills and ellipticals don't stimulate a fat-burning hormonal response or your metabolism to much of an extent. They are just a very ineffective way to workout, compared to the other options I will share with you below.
- If you're working out at home, elliptical machines and treadmills are a waste of a LOT of your hard-earned money. There are so many other workouts that I'll show you that you can do without the expensive elliptical machine, treadmill, or exercise bike.
- There have been studies that have shown treadmill running to actually be less effective at burning calories than outdoor running. This is because your stride pattern is not the same during treadmill running as it is in natural outdoor running.
- Running on the treadmill or riding the bike are 'steady-state exercises' that don't require much concentration on what you're doing. You hear the infomercials... "Do it while watching tv or reading a newspaper or magazine!" But this type of exercise disconnects your mind and body, resulting in extremely poor results compared to exercise that requires focused attention.
- Elliptical and treadmill workouts are just plain boring. The time seems to stand still and no matter what you try to focus on, it's not your body. It's just so monotonous.

- Fully body workouts are, without doubt, the best way to burn fat and tone up. Just make sure that in each workout you are pushing yourself to get fitter and stronger.
