Paul laid down on the bench, taking several quick, but deep breaths. His chest up, his grip tight, his mind ready. Jeremy helped to lift the bar from the rack, and Paul immediately locked his elbows and stabilized the weight. It felt kind of heavy, but Paul did not let any negative thought enter his mind. Slowly, he let the bar down, until it touched his chest.
"Up, up" yelled Jeremy and the bar started to slowly move up, until it finally reached the top. "All right, that's 225, your old record. Let's do 240 now", Jeremy said with a noticeable excitement in his voice.
"OK, load it up", Paul replied.
"What did just happen? How could I fail 240lbs? What the hell is going on?! 10 weeks of training, half the savings spent on supplements and the other half on the perfect diet for nothing? NOTHING!
