Increase Your Faith in Jesus Christ

Do you believe in Christ but yet you find yourself feeling like you need to increase your faith? Those of us who consider ourselves believers all struggle with this from time to time. Let me share with you five strategies I use whenever I feel like I need to increase my faith. Learn from these and see how many of them you can apply to help you increase your faith in Jesus Christ.

1- Make a list of all the reasons why you believe in Christ. Include all of the things Christ has done for you. Make sure you include smaller and more personal things along with the obvious such as his crucifixion and resurrection, which he did for the entire world. Read this list out loud whenever you feel the need.

2- Share your testimony of Christ with others whenever you have the opportunity. It does not need to be elaborate or complicated. Even the most simple testimony of the savior Jesus Christ can work wonders to not only help the other person but to also increase your faith in him as well.

3- Re-read the stories of Jesus in the New Testament. After you read ask yourself questions about what you have read. Take the time to ponder and reflect on what you are reading. Write down in a journal your thoughts and include ideas of how you can better apply in your life the teachings and wisdom of Jesus Christ. Find pictures of Christ and other books about Jesus Christ and read these and look at the pictures as well. There are many inspirational books available on Jesus Christ which can help you to increase your faith.

4- Take the time to pray at least once a day. Make sure to really mean what you say in your prayers. Try to envision Christ standing in your presence and listening to your prayer. Focus on thanking Christ for your blessings along with asking for what you want. Avoid being too selfish.

5- Set a goal to increase your faith in Jesus Christ. It will not happen over time but if you continue to work at it and to believe it will happen.
