About Indie Firsts

Putting readers and authors together

Indie Firsts was set up because with the recent explosion of ebooks it can be very hard for readers to find books that interest them. Due to the sheer quantity of books available, it can be hard to narrow down the selection.

It can also be hard to find new authors, since the overwhelming volume of new releases makes it hard for books to stand out. With no gatekeeper, the quality of ebooks can vary widely which also deters readers from sampling new authors.

Bards and Sages Publishing came up with the idea for Indie Firsts. By pulling together samples in one place it lets readers skim througha lot of authors and then pick up the ones that interest them. It also gives a reader confidence in the magazine's quality.

For the authors? They get a chance to get their books and writing in front of new readers.
