    I also have a squidoo lens for our wedding! June 24th, 2012 it's coming up fast and I am way behind! We don't have any songs for our wedding picked out yet but we have our DJ! :)

    Thanks for the selection, I didn't start listening to a lot of these groups until much later. Some of the more mellow ones like Ingrid Michaelson or Bright Eyes would be perfect for a more serious occasion. But when we get to dancing it's gonna be Frank Sinatra all the way!

    your lens is fantastic! The only problem is it needs quicktime to run script on your lens but I just cant set up quicktip on my computer, if you can put on more of the youtuve videos on your lens, it would be more great!

    i won't be playing much indie music at my wedding, but if i were to it would be during cocktail hour. i'm having an outdoor wedding and i love how indie music sounds more intimate and heartfelt-thanks for listing a great selection, i'll check some of them out to see if i'll add any to my playlist! thanks! great lens!

    Some really interesting recommendations here. I like when people take the time to find something that matches their personality. After all, it's their wedding! The music should completely reflect them and be an extension of them instead of the same old tracks we hear and roll our eyes at.

    There's a really nice new Indie instrumental alternative wedding song called "Walk down the aisle with me" by Hal Sokolow.  The music is ethereal, beautiful and different - great for the prelude, processional, and/or bride entrance.     Interesting choice of "Hoppipola". Maybe it's because of the stellar music video, which basically depicts the yearning for eternal youth, but I've never personally considered it as a love song. But to anyone who decides to use it, that'd be one epic wedding, indeed. Cool lens!

    i feel like bribery can work wonders. i had dinners and wine nights with my girlfriends when they came over to craft. also, sometimes your friends might feel like if they help with a project it may not come out as good as you would like, so they are nervous about crafting. do your best to make them feel at ease. if you have something that you WANT to be perfect, do it yourself. otherwise, let them help you and do your best not to re-do their work.

    Ooh what a great idea for a lens! My husband and I had "Can I Stay" by Ray Lamontagne as our first dance song and it was so perfect. Friends of ours had "Falling In Love at a Coffee Shop" by Landon Pigg for theirs. It's so refreshing compared to the traditional, been-there-done-that songs that everyone picks.

    If I didn't know better, I would swear my daughter wrote this lens. Both of my children love Death Cab for Cutie (just got a new t-shirt in for my daughter for Christmas) and I just ordered a Bright Eyes cd for my son today for Christmas.
