Ingrid Michaelson - Girls and Boys

Ingrid Michaelson's song "The Way I Am" is one of my favorite songs that have come out recently. The rest of the CD is pretty good as well. The last song on the CD "Far Away" is pretty awesome as well, about a woman who wants to be a lobsterman's wife in the blue bay. It's pretty upbeat and catchy.

Kill the Alarm - Fire Away

This New York Alternative band has a lot of promise. I think they have a nice sound that we'll probably be hearing on the radio soon. I really like "Immune" and "Sit Up." The slower song "Collide" is also very nice. The whole album is definitely very good! The songs seem to grow on me the more I listen!

Erin Smith Band - Downtown Smog Crown

Erin Smith Band from Canada has some very funky music that you just want to dance to. This is my favorite album of hers with the songs "Lips Hips" and "Universe" being my favorites! I also thought the album cover was cool, and found out that Erin also paints and has painted the album cover herself.

Devil Doll - Queen of Pain

Devil Doll's album is sexy, jazzy, rock n roll. Whenever people are around and I'm playing this album, they are amazed by how good Devil Doll sounds. A song of hers was played on the TV show 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.'

Anne Heaton - Black Notebook

I first liked Anne Heaton when I heard a song called 'Water' or something like that. It's not on this cd though, but I really like this CD. I love her voice and piano playing.

THE BLANKS: Riding The Wave

You may have heard these guys singing a capella on NBC's "Scrubs" as Ted's Band. I think you'll like them if you like listening to old TV theme songs, or are a Beach Boys (or perhaps Weird Al) fan.

I recommend sampling "Speed Racer" and "Charles in Charge."
