Indomie Pedas Mampus Warung Abang Adek

What makes Indomie rebus Abang Adek unique from other hawker stalls ?. Extreme level of spiciness/hotness. There are five levels of spiciness of Indomie rebus that are determined based on the number of bird's eye chilies used:
Pedas (level 1): 20 chilis
Pedas biasa (level 2) : 25 chilies
Pedas garuk (level 3): 75 chilies
Pedas gila (level 4): 100 chilies
Pedas mampus (level 5): 150 chilies (equivalent to 1 / 4 kg)

Those special names were created by Warung Abang Adek's customers. They just simply love it. It is not easy to say what it is about chilies that causes fanatism or addiction. It could be the pain they bring that increase the pleasure of eating for some people. But one you love it, you will enjoy it and no way to turn back. You are hooked!. Indomie Pedas Mampus is only one example of chilies addcition.

To get maximum level of spiciness, the chef at Warung Abang Adek blanch the birds eye chillis in boiling water. Then grind and mixed it with Indomie's seasoning.

Can you imagine the taste of Indomie pedas mampus with 150 chillis ?. I can feel some sensation ranging from burning, exploding, churning, etc. Pedas Garuk (garuk=scratch)is named because of the hotness make you want to scracth your head. Pedas Gila (pedas = hot spicy, gila=crazy)is named because of the hotness make you crazy instantly and Pedas Mampus (mampus=die) is named because the hotness make you wish to die.

Some famous figures and celebrities such as Gugun Gondrong, Dewi Persik, Syahrul Gunawan, etc; also love this super duper hot spicy noodles. Popularity of Indomie Pedas Mampus make this menu is copied by other hawker stalls outside Jakarta.
