Indonesian Ginger Coffee
Indonesia is well known as one of the top coffee producers in the world. Indonesian love their coffee with sweet and strong ginger flavor. Some spices are usually added other than ginger such as clove, lemongrass, cinnamon, and pandanus leaves. Those spices are beneficial to boost immune system and very effective against cold during winter or rainy season. And the best part of making Indonesian ginger coffee coule be that it requires no coffee makers. Its simple and easy.

Indonesian Ginger Coffee recipe
Bagaimana cara membuat kopi jahe

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 3-4 cloves
- 1 lemongrass
- 1 pandanus leaves
- 1 cinammon stick
- 3 inches fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp ground coffee
- 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions
Broil the ginger about 3-4 inches from heat source, until it is dark brown. Peel the skin and smash it with cleaver.
Cut the lemongrass about 2 inches from the base. Discard the rest and use only the white part. Smash it with cleaver.
In a pot, add ginger, lemongrass, cinamon stick, pandanus leaves, cloves and water. Bring the water to a boil. Then lower the heat. Simmer about 10 minutes. Strain.
Put 1 tbsp ground coffee and 1 tbsp sugar into each cup and pour the ginger broth over it. Stir. Leave it for about 3-5 minutes to let the ground coffee settles in the bottom. Ready to serve.
