The Capital of Indonesia
Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia. It is a city of more than 10 million people. It is a place where the central government sits and decide on the policies and laws governing the entire country.Jakarta is a very congested city with a equally notorious congested traffic. Traffic congestion is a daily event. It is in fact the most pressing and challenging problem for the government. Other problems facing this city are pollution, constant floods, high unemployment...the list goes on.
Despite all this, it is a very vibrant city...full of life and boundless energy. You can shop till you drop, you can taste a wide variety of local and international food. It is a connecting center for visitors to visit other parts of Indonesia. It has also a vibrant nightlife.
