Baby Snail Costumes - A New Spin on an Old Trend
Bug and animal costumes have always been a popular Halloween costume option for moms and dads to buy for their baby boy or baby girl, but this year's baby snail costume is going to set records for the cutest costume ever!
How often do you see the same old baby costume - the lion, the ladybug, or the butterfly? Sure, they're all precious because of the baby in them, but why not forego boring and go bold instead by hyping up the fact that your baby's still on his tummy or that she's crawling around and not yet mobile?
The baby snail costume fits children up to 18 months.
Here are the details about this precious baby snail costume:

Your Baby Snail Will Be Snug as a Bug in a Rug
But remember - babies can be unpredictable, so if he squirms and wants out, it'll be nice to have an extra layer of clothes beneath.
This costume also won't get in the way when he tries to crawl or walk around. It's snug enough to help him navigate the floor but loose enough that he won't get stuffy and feel miserable.

The Baby Snail Costume - Perfect for Boys or Girls
Some parents prefer to get costumes specific to their child's gender, like a princess or a cowboy. But the baby snail costume is so cute, you won't care!
Everyone will oooh and awww over your child's cuteness and no one will care if it's a unisex Halloween costume.
Plus, since Halloween only comes once a year, this is an outfit you can resell on eBay or pass down to other kids - and it won't matter if it's a boy or girl baby Halloween costume!

You'll Never Get the First Year Back
First year Halloween costumes are special, and you'll probably tuck it away in a box as a special keepsake.Let your child know that you went to great lengths to make sure he was one of a kind, to match his own unique personality.
It means a lot to kids to know that you focused on them (especially for the years they can't remember themselves).

What's the Forecast for This Year's Most Popular Kid's Halloween Costume?
Not everyone wants to be a baby snail. But you don't want your precious darling to be like every other kid on the street, either, do you?
Tell me who (or what) you believe will be the best selling Halloween costume this year for kids!

As you can see from the image on the right, a real snail is nothing like the colorful Halloween costume you see to the left, except for the general shape and eye placement.
Why should you love the snail? Well first, he's very versatile. He can live almost anywhere - deserts, marshes, woods, mountains, and plush gardens. They love to be near humans, too.
Some snails are large, while others are small. Some are water lovers while others stay on dry land. Some are herbivores while others like a little meat with their meal. A snail with no shell is known as a slug.
Some snails have a lung, and others have gills. They glide along on a little foot made of muscle. It's lubricated with mucus to help them get around. They're very slow, hence the reference to "snail mail."
They can go into their shells and protect themselves, but some snails still get added into incense products because their shells emit a good scent when burned. Their shells are mostly made of calcium, so they eat a lot of food with calcium in it to help build strong shells.
The biggest snail is a 40-pound species (YIKES - that's like a small child!), which is found in Australia! Some snails have two sets of tentacles called eye stalks, since the eyeballs are on the tip of the tentacles. They can be retracted, too!
Some hibernate during the winter and if they're enduring a drought, they just seal their shell shut with a layer of mucus. Land snails are hermaphrodites - they reproduce all by themselves. Most water snails are either one sex or the other.

- Wow - I did a homemade version of this the other year for my daughter who was 1 at the time. We stuffed the leg of an old pair of tights and rolled it up, then sewed it together and painted it. It was too heavy though and was lopsided. I ended up not taking photos. Very cute idea if this works!
