Clomid Success Rates - Why Bother?
Clomid has been responsible for the conception of many babies, for that it deserves some acknowledgement. But who is Clomid for and when is it most successful?Clomid has been around for many years and although it is responsible for many babies it really is designed to stimulate ovulation, the release of an egg. For women who are ovulating Clomid has still been known to be subscribed. This does not make sense at all and new research shows that it is pretty much useless when administered to those who already ovulate but are struggling to conceive.
There is a detailed interview on this very research
here. Take a look, it is well worth learning about.

IVF What Are Your Chances?
Predicting success rates for IVF is not an easy task. So much depends on your individual circumstances and when those have been taken into account, a 'good guess' is about what you'll get.How long have you been unable to conceive, how old are you, is your health good, what about the state of your reproductive organs? These things plus many more will determine your chances of getting pregnant through IVF.
Like most people though, you no doubt want to hear what the averages are right? Well again, it depends on how many cycles you are willing to undergo. For those women under 35 years old who are in good health, there have been recorded success rates of around 50% per IVF cycle. A percentage of those pregnancies unfortunately end in miscarriage.
Some generalised percentages thrown around have been that should you go through three IVF cycles that your chances of success would be around 65%. Only 15% more than for one cycle. And of course for older women, 40 and over, the average success rate has been reported at less than one in twelve cycles.
IVF does indeed create miracles, it has answered many many prayers. If you are 100% certain that you have exhausted all your other options then I believe IVF is worth pursuing.
Does Your IVF Doctor Matter?
Choose Carefully
There has been some data that suggests that the treating IVF physician does impact the outcome of your IVF cycles. The suggestion is that cycle stimulation is one of the most important factors of your IVF treatment and if this is not given due diligence by your physician it can have quite an impact on whether you get pregnant or not.
If you are looking into IVF search around for the physicians who come with the highest of recommendations. Ask to see their success rates over the previous six months or so. Find out how long they have been practising and who will be the person conducting the egg transfer.
Please don't go in blindly nodding your head...IVF is a major major undertaking and you want to be sure you have all things working in your favor when you start.
Ask lots of questions and if you can't get answers then move on. Most importantly, follow your instincts, if the doctor doesn't feel right for you then they are most probably not.
