To create your own product, you must first start with a topic. This is probably the most enjoyable part of info product creation.
You go from things you're interested in, you have brainstorming sessions, you stumble round the web, you search google, you come up with ideas, you change your mind, you learn along the way, and your info product transforms itself in your mind into something far better than you first imagined.

ebook Categories
In general, there are 4 types of info products that fall into the ebook category:1. Pleasure books- these include fiction, novels, poetry, short stories, dramas, mysteries, suspense, adventure, humor, etc.
2. Inspiration books - these include books on spirituality, religious topics, bible studies, stories from the heart, certain types of self help topics.
3. Study guides - these are reference books and can be on any number of topics
4. "How-to" books - these are the do it yourself type books and include self improvement topics as well as a ton of others. This can also include How-to's about becoming successful in your own business, How-to basket weave, etc. Any topic from A to Z can be covered in a "How-to" format.

Write about what you know
On the internet, more so than offline, the best selling ebooks are in the "How-to" category.When selecting your topic, make sure it's a subject that you do actually have some knowledge about. Or, alternatively, make sure you hire a writer who does!

If you think that you've found an untapped topic, consider whether it's a topic that anyone is even likely to purchase in the first place. Make sure you really do your research well for that one!The reason is that publishers know what sells. Like
you, they are in business to make money. If there was money in the topic, chances are that some smart publisher would already have put out a book on the
subject.

3 simple steps!
Once you have an idea for your topic, you must now assess the popularity of your chosen topic.This is where the keyword research starts. Here's a simple three-step process:
1. Identify keywords for your book idea.
2. Conduct a search of your keywords to determine how many people are searching for the information you're putting out.
3. Run your keywords through the search engines and look for the following information:
a) The number of e-books already available on the subject.
b) The number of paid sponsor ads for the search. This indicates that there is interest on the subject - otherwise big companies wouldn't be wasting their marketing budgets to sponsor the searches.

eBook Packages For You To Sell for 100% Profit
There is, of course, a way to sell info products without actually writing your own. One way to do it is by buying ebooks with 'Resale Rights'.

Your research findings
Your research will tell you whether there is a market for your topic, and it will also tell you whether the market is over saturated.Don't be afraid of a little competition! In fact, some competition is actually healthy and it shows that there is definitely a market for the topic.
However...
In a highly saturated market, you will need to have more money to spend on advertising, especially if the cost per click is fairly high.For this reason, I probably wouldn't pick a highly saturated market for my first product.
Your own (fully stocked) Info Product Shopping Mall
I found out about something the other day called ClickBank Mall.In case you don't know, ClickBank is an affiliate network you join and earn between 50% and 75% on any purchases as a result of your promotions. And that high percentage means you're looking at probably between $15 and $35 per sale.
And now the easier way to make these sales (of products written by other people!) is not to list individual links in different places. It is to have a clever ClickBank Mall. A library for people to browse.
I'm loving it.
The one downside is this: maybe the price is a little high for you right now if you're just beginning your internet marketing career. It's set at $79.
It's worth checking it out, at least. For what you get, $79 is really cheap. But compared to what you might be earning online right now, $79 might seem expensive!
Actually, that's probably the best reason you have to get this thing. 2 or 3 sales and your money is back in your pocket. Go for it!
