Best Search Engines (and Why)

Google
Still the Best
ASK

The Original Search Engine
Microsoft Bing
Making quite a name for itself

Find Human Experts (Usenet/Google Groups/Yahoo Groups)

I would rate this as probably the most valuable Internet resource that there is

All over the Internet there are communities of Experts and Enthusiasts ready to answer your queries. This can often vastly speed up your information search. It's your job to find the correct user group and to pose your question intelligently and politely.

I use these groups to help me with home repairs, car repairs, computer problems, programming languages, how to swim or cycle better. In fact with virtually any problem.

Why do people give free help away? well vanity might be one reason, another is that they improve their own expertise by helping others, sometimes that might have a rather dull job.
Gougle Groups (Formerly USENET)
Usenet
Yahoo! Answers
Yahoo! Answers is a new way to find and share information. You can ask questions on any topic, get answers from real people, and share your insights and experience.

Switching Off Google's Personalized Search

Get your true position in the Search Engines

Few realize that Google personalizes search for you depending on your search habits. While this may be a great idea for ordinary users it is a disadvantage for webmasters Internet Marketers as it gives them the false impression that their sites are higher in the search rankings than they actually are.

There are two ways to NOT see Google´s Personalized Search results:

(1) Log out of Google (eg Gmail)

(2) Append &pws=0 to the end of your search URL in the search bar

My search tip is, the search result varies for different countries. If you search from your country for a certain keyword in Google you will get some results, then if u change your ip to a different country, you will get another type of results. If you are doing seo, you will need to change your ip to see the proper results.
how can I change my ip to your ip address
