You know, all things said, it takes time to get on the first page of Google. You need to get a lot of website promotions. You need to get a lot of backlinks, you have to learn how to get high Page Rank Backlinks. How to do a Keyword Research the right way and so on. For anyone to find your site, you need to have the right keywords selected. This is where 99% of people make a mistake! They do not know how to research their keywords the right way so their website does not get a lot of traffic. If you do not know how to do this, I suggest you get a free training right here and I will even give you some free keyword tools to help you out!

If you website is about dogs, and your main keyword is dog, that is a mistake!

Second, you need to optimize your website for those keywords in order for you to get more traffic. 99.9% of new people do not know this. I have been involved with online business for some time now, and I still do not know half of it!

Third, you have to get quality back links to your website to rank high for those selected keywords. So that is what I will try to explain where I write my articles and where I post them.

So let's begin. One way to promote your website is to write articles about the products or services on your website. The articles need to be informative and not a sales letter. The articles need to have the proper keywords that have very low competition. So if you are selling iPhones. The proper keyword is not iPhones. You need to find keywords that are low competition such as 5000 or less competing pages and the quickest and easiest way to learn that is to check the free keyword tools and type in your selected keywords into Google search box with quotes. So lets say your keywords are "pros and cons to iPhone" that is how you type it into Google search box. (Side note: this has nothing to do with the way people search for, it just helps you find out how many people are optimizing pages for those keywords!)

There are going to be people who will read this and be confused. Of course you will be...But it is as simple as this. The keywords is how people will find you. That is what you have to master in order to have a web presence. Just sit down and think of what people would type in searching for that service or a product you are promoting. For example, if you site is about dog's what do people want to know? How to train the dog to go potty, how to make the dog stop chewing shoes, how to train the dog to do this trick and so forth. You can really make all the difference when you think about the words people type in.

I also like Associated Content. The first 3 will also be approved by a real person, but after you learn how to submit, it goes a lot easier.

You can also build a squidoo lens like this one and promote it. These are all free but the good thing about associate content and squidoo is that with those two you can earn a little money on the side as well. Associate content will pay you a small fee per number of times your article is viewed and squidoo will actually share their adsense profit as well.

The rule of thumb with is that with articles you need to write at least 350 words article. You should not write boring articles but rather very informative. I personally like to submit mine at ezinearticles.com. eZine articles are actually approved by the real person so it may take about 7 days for your articles to be approved, however, as you climb up the ladder (submitting at least 10 articles) and if they are problem free, you may become an expert and it may only take about a day to approve them after that.

So lets say your website is about iPhones (and lets say you were selling them) your article would be about pros and cons to iPhones. Not the best deal on iPhones. When people search to purchase iPhone or any other product, they first search for the information. Some of the articles will bring in some traffic that is not in the purchasing mode, but the more traffic you get better your chances are at ranking higher with Google.
