If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with Mesothelioma, PLEASE get this book. With all the confusing, and contradictory information out there, it's nice to have a good reference. Its plain English, it's hopeful but real, it's compassionate. Written by a Dr., Nurse, and a Patients Spouse, it gives real information in a way that there is no question what is meant. It's allot of the questions that you would ask, if you could.

I hope that no one has to buy this book, because it means that there is a long hard journey ahead. God Bless

100 Questions & Answers About Mesothelioma is the only patient/family friendly book on mesothelioma on the market. Using the Q & A format, it explores a wide range of issues faced by the patient and his/her family, and does so in a clear, direct manner.

Harvey I. Pass, MD, one of the authors, writers this in the Preface:

"It is written to try to guide; it is not written as a thesis. It is a distillation of "important things," as opposed to a collection of useless medical facts. It is meant to be personal for those who use it, and hopefully to cool that "rage-fear" reaction that you, the reader, are probably undergoing since you, or somebody you know, has been diagnosed with the disease. We want you to be better prepared to start on this unknown path..."

I wish I had had this book two years ago when my father was diagnosed with mesothelioma. The calm voice of the book would have done a good deal in helping my family overcome the shock and sadness.

Until speaking with my 23 year old daughter I had no inkling that the large industrial TENS machine used by my chiropractor was available in personal battery operated models. In casual conversation about my back and hip problems she mentioned she'd been using one for neck and shoulder pain for some time. Who knew? I spent two hours online reviewing prices, quality, reviews, features, and finding out more about exactly what TENS does than I ever got from my old chiropractor. Based on the price, features and virtually unanimous sparkling reviews on the LG7000, I decided to take the plunge. I've had it for three days now. I ordered several larger sized pads and began using them from day one. Within ten or fifteen minutes of experimenting with the settings, I found the exact setting to reproduce the pleasantly effective TENS setting I remember from my chiropractor. Blindfolded I absolutely would not be able to tell the difference. The other modes were new to me since I only experienced the one type ever. The versatility of the different TENS patterns was unexpected and I am just getting started on testing. The beauty of my own machine is the ability to use it for the arthritic pain in my hips, which was not dealt with at the chiropractor (back only). As I type this review my hips are buzzing with the power of this little dynamo. The ability to change modes, timer, and intensities is easier than I imagined it would be. The case is padded and sturdy. There is more power than I'd ever be able to tolerate. This unit is indeed everything prior reviewers touted.

This is my second purchase of this tens 7000. I gave them as gifts to family members who have low back pain, shoulder pain, sciatica, knee pain. The great thing about this is that you can use it at home, while at work or shopping.
I have thrown my back out in the past and have spent over 2 weeks trying to get the muscles to relax so I could heal.
In the last 2 years I have had 2 incidences of my back muscles going into spasms from heavy lifing or doing too much yardwork. With the Tens 7000 I was able to apply the electrodes and run the device for most of the day while awake. This relaxed the muscles enough that I could straighten out my back. Otherwise I would have been hunched over for several days. In 3 days of use I was back to almost normal and able to walk straight and perform my job without being in constant pain.

I purchased this to replace an older broken model that I bought several years ago in Canada because at the time you couldn't get them in the States. I have a recurring lower back injury and this therapy sure does help. When I go to the chiropractor, he uses a TENS machine as part of the treatment so having a similar machine at home has been a big benefit.

I love the design of this model, it has the wire inputs at the top (rather than the side as my old model did) and has a nice flip up top to turn the power on and set the intensity. (my old one had a cap that would go missing all the time). There is also a door that has the mode and settings buttons to customize for your pain relief needs.

I find that this unit is much stronger then my previous model which is great because I was almost at the 80% intensity with my older model. My only complaint is that they only give you one (1) set of electrodes with the unit so its wise to purchase extras.
