Some people are luckier than others in that their ingrown hair only flair up only once in a while, whilst for other people its a routine that comes along with each occasion of hair removal.
Ingrown hair occurs because the hair curls back on itself before exiting the skin. This action means that the hair pierces the skin and causes an infection which often looks like an acne.
Ingrown hair can result from shaving, waxing or using electric epilators to remove the hair. For men, this generally occurs around the neck and chin. Unless that is they shave their whole body.
For women, ingrown hair appears around the genital area and hence sometimes you get bikini ingrown hair in the nether regions. This is also true for men who like to be clean shaven there
The hair often does this because it is too weak to grown out so the next best option is to just take the easiest route - turn back on itself, with painful and unsightly consequences.
How Do I get Rid Of Ingrown Hair?
Getting rid of ingrown hair can be done in a number of ways which is applicable to both men and women.
Laser hair removal is the most expensive option, but it gets rid of the hair and chore of shaving often.
Tweezers can be used to pluck out the ingrown hair, but this means you have to go after each single bit of hair individually. Very time consuming if you have a prevalence of ingrown hair.A well known product in this area is the Tweezerman
Ingrown hair solution is the mid way solution for this particular condition. It's not too expensive and it odes the job. The only thing with this is that most contain alcohol and thus sting. But for the brief pain, you will get relief from associated inflammation.
