A duo in fashion

Ingwa; Melero is a collection made by Nike Ingwa Clausing and Tina Hernaiz Melero. Since their childhood, Nike and Tina have been friends and seriously inspired by fashion due to their mother's handcrafting books.

Nike went for an education at a haute couture house in Hamburg, Germany and a degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City while Tina got a master's degree in graphic design from Fachhoch-schule in Duesseldorf, Germany.

In 2001, both Nike and Tina closed in on the fashion seen when they moved to New York. The same year they founded Ingwa; Melero, a start of a thriving business.

The business expands

By 2002, only 1 year after foundation, Ingwa; Melero was a finalist in the May 2002 GenArt Styles competition. In August of the same year, Ingwa; Melero joined in on the GenArt and Chrysler's PT Studios Program as an emerging fashion talents in New York City.
Later, Ingwa; Melero was nominated for the Fashion Group International Rising Star Women's Apparel Award.

Ingwa; Melero is currently sold at Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman and numerous specialty boutiques in New York, Los Angeles and around the USA.

The Ingwa; Melero collection is unique in its details and most dresses have a sexy party look.

The 2 displayed dresses have the same details, just a different model.

Both are made from 94% rayon and 6% lycra and feature a soft velour waistband with detail stitching. The first is a sexy halter style dress with a tie neck, the second has half sleeves. They both exists in different colors and cost in between $200 and $400 depending on the model.

The amount of work that goes into the detail of Ingwa; Melero dresses make them unique.

The displayed Jersey Sahara dress has burnished gold tone grommets accenting the deep, dating lace-up bodice. Multiple pockets bring the extra accents.
