In memory of Summer & Rosie

Ranked #18,851 in Pets & Animals, #545,497 overall

Two bright birds that will always be remembered...

This is a speical lens in memory of my two sweet and always mischevious budgies, Summer and Rosie.

About Summer

Summer was a dominant pied light green budgerigar. He was my first bird, and I thought since he was yellow and that made me think of the sun and warm and the summer I named him Summer. Also we had just moved to Summersville so I tell people they named the town after him ^_^
Summer loved his mirror, and would chirp to it for hours.

About Rosie

Rosie came to our flock about a year after Summer did. She was a yellow face skyblue, which made her end up a very pretty green all over. She was a bit more wild than Summer was, and quite the brat.
Rosie left us a few months after Summer, I am not sure why either of them died, but I am guessing it was from the same thing, but I really don't know.

I have a blog dedicated to all birds and bird lovers called Bird A Day Blog, if you have lost a bird and would like a public memory, I would be more than happy to post something for you. Just send me a photo and what you would like the memory to say. The link to the blog is below.

Nice tribute to Rosie & Summer. It took a while for me to get over it when I lost mine.

Lovely way of remembering Summer and Rosie...
I had a budgie when I was a child and a cockateil later. I love animals and birds and apart from when I was at college and now since losing our dog have always had an animal or bird companion.

((( Summer and Rosie ))), may you find comfort in knowing that God takes each bird gently into His arms and places them on the lap of an angel. Thank you for stopping by Ruger's Lens - Kathy
