Insightful Guide to Finding a Working Mouse

Are you a gamer or even an everyday person looking for a decent mouse that could last you up to three or four years? There are many mice that are suitable for your needs. I personally like RazerZone's products because I do a lot of gaming. They aren't just designed for games though, they can be easily used to complete other tasks on the computer, may I say even more efficiently then most mice. I highly suggest using Razer, read on and I will explain why.

I also suggest Steelseries and Logitech, they both make great products. I must warn you though, Logitech's cheap products are generally not that great! If your looking to purchase from them try looking for at least a starting price of $50.00, it will save you tons of trouble, trust me. Steelseries is a good competitor of Razer. Steelseries also makes great gaming products as you probably guessed. I like both companies but prefer Razer. If I were to suggest you to a second company for a good mouse it would definitely be Steelseries.

From a lot of my observations on Razer and Steelseries is that they are far better then Logitech. Logitech produces some products designed for gaming, but not many, nor are the products that great. They may look great design wise, but when you want a fully functional mouse that will last you a couple years, I suggest leaning towards Razer and Steelseries. The only thing I have found Logitech good for so far is their headphones, that's about it though! I did own one of their mice, it broke a little before the end of 2010 was up.

I hope you find the rest of the article entertaining and insightful!

Finding the Mouse

The Mouse YOU Want

Razer NagaFinding a mouse isn't easy. That's why I am here, to tell you some of the tricks I have found useful when purchasing a mouse. I guess they are not tricks, but general knowledge one should have when purchasing a mouse. In today's world a lot of us know what we want, but not what we should be looking for. I am going to give you a little bit of insight on how to get what you want while it meets your needs instead of a piece of trash.

First of all you should look at some of the big named companies. I guess they don't need to be big named, but they do need to at least have a decent amount of positive reviews. Excess negative reviews on a company is generally a bad company to buy from. If you have trouble with your mouse they probably will not make an effort to really help you out except for what needs to be done. As I suggested in my introduction, Razer and Steelseries are great companies to buy from. Both companies produce great mice and they have a decent number of good reviews. On top of that, some guy got a tattoo of the SteelSeries logo! If that does not say a lot about the company I do not know what does!

When your looking for a mouse you should really find a design you like and observe its price. When you look at the design and like it your obviously going to want that mouse even though it might be a piece of trash. Steelseries and Razer usually offer wonderful designs while offering fantastic quality. Even some of the lower priced mice from their stores are really good.
Now you found the design you really like, it's priced perfectly but the sensitivity sucks. Look and see if you can adjust the sensitivity in their product reviews or even the features they list on their site. If it does not have these settings, that is completely fine as long as you know you can deal with the sensitivity. No one else is going to tell you what your mouse should have or do. It may sound like I am trying to tell you what you should have, but I am simply suggesting what to look out for.
Another thing to look for is DPI(Dots Per Inch) I have a 4000DPI corded mouse and a 2000DPI wireless from Razer, it works wonderfully on my laptop. Higher DPI isn't super necessary but it gives you more precision. This is essential for a gamer than an ordinary person just checking their Facebook and email on a daily basis. I do suggest looking for at least 1500 DPI for your sanity though. You'll thank me later.
The last thing you need to know about looking for a mouse is if its corded, wireless or both. If it's corded generally it would give you a higher DPI and no delay. Wireless will give you lower DPI but from Razer and Steelseries I have not had issues with delays. So that should not be too much of something to worry about when picking out your mouse.

That's really all you need to know about picking out a mouse besides making sure it fits your price range instead of bankrupting your bank account!

Mouses to Look For

Do your research, silly!

Razer DeathAdderAs you have read I mainly user Razer's products. One of the products I use is the Razer Orochi. That mouse is generally meant for a laptop it's the perfect size not many companies get and it has the option of being wired or wireless. Did I mention it lights up when plugged in? The mouse has 4000DPI wired and 2000DPI wireless. It's perfect for the laptop gamer, especially for those of you that have the high end gaming laptops. This is a mouse I highly suggest it because of its portability and accuracy. It's not the best mouse if your into shooters because of the length of the mouse, but it still will help with your precision.

Another mouse I suggest is the Razer Deathadder. It is built for PC's and is great for any type of gaming. Even for Hello Kitty Online! It offers a lot of the content the Orochi uses but as I said it is more geared towards the PC. It has 3500DPI and is PC and Mac compatible. There is no computer racism going on with this product! It might sound crazy, but not only do they have it built for the right hand but they also have it built for the left hand, even you lefties can participate in the fun too now!

For you MMO gamers the Razer Naga is a great mouse. It is also PC and Mac compatible and has 5600DPI. It has numerous programmable buttons to use as key bindings for your spell casting fun and it allows you to have a customizable interface for MMO's. Can you believe that? It's such an amazing mouse for an MMO gamer I can't even describe it. I am actually surprised no one else has done this before though(besides Steelseries). Oh and did I mention this also lights up and has extra comfort for long gaming sessions? Steelseries also offers a very similar mouse but it is a bit more pricey.

The reason why I have not really said anything is because Steelseries offers nearly the same mice besides some slight improvements or the other way around. :)
