The Dangers of Sleeping Pills
Long-term studies on the effects of sleeping pills don't show encouraging results. In fact the one major conclusion from all studies is that insomniacs are better off without sleeping pills than they are with them.
Here is a small list of symptoms to find out whether you are overdosing on sleeping pills or not:
Blurred Vision,
Double Vision,
Dizziness,
Nausea,
Slow Reflexes,
Difficult and Labored Breathing,
High Weakness,
Tremors and Seizures,
Being in a Confused State and Clumsiness.
If you take sleeping pills regularly and see any of the above symptoms then it might be an indication that you are overdosing on sleeping pills.
It is strongly advisable to see a qualified doctor as soon as possible and also try to quit using sleeping pills as soon as possible. The sleeping pills can cause a lot of health problems for you if used on regular basis.

Tips to Overcome Insomnia
Below Given are a few tips to overcome insomnia and enjoy peaceful sleep at night
The next tip to overcome insomnia would be to make sure that you are neither on an empty stomach while going to bed nor are you full.
If you are feeling hungry then it might be difficult to go to sleep, and also avoid sleeping when your stomach is full as that can cause digestive and other health problems. The best thing would be to allow 3 hours of gap between the time you have dinner and the time of going to bed.
If your mind is relaxed but your body is tense, do some low-intensity stretches and exercises to relax your muscles, especially those in your upper body, neck, and shoulders.
Regular exercise during the day can also be instrumental in overcoming insomnia for good. People who work outsides and who do physical labor are far less likely to suffer from insomnia.
Relax and do not worry or think about important matter while in bed otherwise you will feel difficulty in dozing off.
Follow the above simple tips to overcome insomnia and hopefully soon you shall find a lot of improvement in overcoming your insomnia. For more tips and techniques to completely get rid of insomnia check out this resource - Natural Insomnia Cure

We can make efforts to make our rooms quieter, darker and comfortable at night for a good night's sleep. The darker our rooms, the better we can sleep.
Making rooms quiter for the night might sometimes be as simple as adding heavier curtains on doors and windows to reduce outside noise.
You can also use a fan or white noise generator for drowning away the outside noise. If this too fails, you might consider using comfortable ear plugs.
It is suggested that you do not look at the time left in the middle of the night. The more we are aware of how much time is still left for sleeping and the moment for waking up is approaching, the harder it can get to go back to sleep.
In addition to the above points, keep in mind the following:
1. It is always better to stick to a regular sleep schedule.
2. It is said that exposing ourselves to sunlight for atleast a couple of hours during the day increases the body's production of melatonin which helps in regulating sleep/wake cycles.
3. If you have a sedentry lifestyle, it is advised to try and get some physical activity during the day. This can help you if you are struggling with sleep problems. Swimming, walking, cycling or gardening can be very good exercises for us.
4. Stress can be a big obstacle for good healthy sleep. It is important for all of us to learn and handle the pressure, tension, worries and stress in our lives and stay calm and composed inspite of problems.
And learn to deal with the problems with a clear and cool mind. Here is a good program to help you in dealing with stress and overcoming anxiety and panic - One Move Method
5. You can think or visualize repeated or mindless things while in bed so that our brains shut down and we doze off easily. For example, try thinking or visualizing about an endless staircase going down into the dark.
