Inspiring Images with Nature Quotes.

This is a sequel to "Dad Said No Allowance So I Started My Own Business." If you read my previous lens you know my dad can be a little crazy. And you might have figured out that I like to tell stories. Here's the origin of my new lens: "Inspiring Images with Nature Quotes".

It was a nice day outside; the kind of day my Dad likes to take walks. See my "Walking For Exercise" lens- that was his idea. We were walking, and I was telling my Dad about an article in a magazine that I saw about girls who started their own business. He told me about his idea for a new line of Cafe Press T-shirts. (As soon as I put one together you can look at it.) His idea was to put a paragraph-long story on a T shirt.

I thought of a silly story that my brother made up called Beeping Sleauty instead of Sleeping Beauty. Don't get me started on that! But an idea I liked better is to combine a good inspirational quote with a picture and put it on a T-shirt using Cafe Press or Zazzle.

We walked by a bird's nest that was on the ground with three eggs in it. Dad said that a picture of the fallen nest fit well with a quote from Helen Keller. "Nature wages open war against her children, and under softest touch hides her treacherous claws."

When we got home Dad got on his computer. We looked for inspirational quotes. I went out and photographed inspiring images in our neighborhood. I did some more research and started this lens.

This lens is about Inspiring Images with Nature Quotes.

The Latest & The Greatest

Today, I signed up for Zazzle. Naturally, I dove in head first and started creating items. My first T-shirt I ended up deleting because my Dad didn't like it. He said that I should have just put everything on one side. Then, I created a mouse pad, tote bag and a post card with the design about suffering and overcoming. I created a T-Shirt with the picture of the bird's nest and wrote a story in fairy tale format to go on the back.

What I like about Zazzle:
1) It's connected to Twitter! I can choose a message that I want to go on Twitter after I create an item.

2) I can write stuff on a T-shirt. That's what I did for my T-shirt with a short story on it.

3) You can make a picture bigger. On Cafe press, the biggest size usually isn't big enough for me.

I was checking out this one site, and you can make your own photo & personal cards. Earlier, my dad was asking me if you could make an encouraging postcard and then send it to someone like a card using zazzle. I thought about it and then remembered that their postcards came in a package of more than one. Does anyone know if you can sends a personal message when you send something to someone as a gift? Anyway, with this site, hopefully I can make this encouraging postcard thing.

Quote #1

Dad's Example For Me

"Nature wages open war against

her children, and under softest touch

hides her treacherous claws"

-Helen Keller

This was dad's example for his idea.

You may wonder how a bird's nest is an example of how nature wages open war with her children, so I'll tell you.

It's been kind of stormy & windy lately were I live. The birds nest was probably knocked out of the tree by the harsh winds of mother nature.

Inspirational Quote #2

"Although the world is full of suffering,

it is also full of overcoming."

-Helen Keller

I thought these paired well together because the sun could represent the overcoming part, and the leaves would represent suffering.

If my plan works, this will be a cafe press T shirt eventually.

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.
