How To Benefit From Inspiration Quotes and Affirmations

I learned about an important difference between Inspiration Quotes and Affirmations when coaching people who had confidence or weight loss issues to deal with.

Let's deal with Inspiration Quotes first. These are useful when you're trying to change something in your make up.

Imagine you're working on improving your confidence. Suddenly you find yourself feeling anxious. You need to quickly get back on track and feel confident.

You reach into your memory and pluck out an inspiration quote like William Ward's:

"Adversity causes some men to break, others to break records."

You repeat this two or three times and soon you're back on track, feeling good about yourself.

Affirmations Work in a Different Way

You need to use Affirmations to remind yourself what you are aiming to achieve BEFORE you get yourself into a situation.

The most famous affirmation is probably the first recorded use of an affirmatiion is Émile Coué's:

"Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better."

See how it sets up a state of mind.

BUT

You have to believe that it's happening. It's no good just mouthing the words and hoping that something will magically change. You have to want it, you have to believe it will happen.

It's much easier and more effective to work in a group when you're trying to make changes in your life.

That's why I set up my web site at www.GoneForeverWeightLoss.com to help people lose weight.
