Instagram App = Fun

That's right...there could be an Instagram camera in the works, sort of like a polaroid camera. I love the idea. I love Polaroid type pictures and I LOVE Instagram.

If they come out with an actual camera I am so buying it.

Instagram is a free app found in the iTunes App Store. The app helps you turn your dull iPhone photos into cinematic art with just a few swipes of your finger. It's so simple that my three year old nephew could do it!

With Instagram, you can use one of their many photo filter settings to enhance your original picture:

* X-Pro II
* Lomo-fi
* Earlybird
* Sutro
* Toaster
* Inkwell
* Walden
* Hefe
* Apollo
* Poprocket
* Nashville
* Gotham
* 1977
* Lord Kevin

Once you choose a filter, the app allows you to share the photo with other Instagram members or you can configure your account to allow Instagram to share the photo on your Facebook, Twitter, Flikr, Tumblr, Foursquare or Posterous accounts. You decide. You can also email the photo or copy and share the URL. It's a clever app and I enjoy viewing photos by other Instagram users. The photos are beyond creative, especially when knowing that the original photo was taken with an iPhone camera, which has a fairly limited range.

If you love taking pictures on your iPhone but find yourself disappointed with the quality, try out Instagram. It's FREE, it's easy and so much fun. It could even make a blurry iPhone picture look amazing. Well, I haven't tested that theory but I will try it just to see what Instagram will do to the picture.

Now I look forward to taking any picture with my iPhone. When I look at images before me, I find myself wondering what it would look like using the Instagram filters. I'm using my iPhone camera more often now that I have Instagram installed on my iPhone. It's a fun, free app and it's a must-have if you have an iPhone.

Also, now in the Share screen, while you are filtering your photos, right above there are more options.

The first option in shape of a square is a choice to frame your photo or not.

The second option is an arrow - this allows you to flip your photo in whichever angle works best for your photo.

The third option is a camera with arrows - this options lets you switch cameras on your device. Smart phones and ipads have the front facing and back cameras, so it lets you switch.

The fourth option in shape in a drop-THIS is where you can blur your photo. You can blur it horizontally or in a circular way. The circular option always makes my photos look like I've purposely focused in on a particular spot. I LOVE this option.

And lastly, the X means you can cancel the photo edit.

Now that more of my friends and family are using Instagram, I enjoy seeing the photos they take and share. Recently my friends and I went to the beach and my friend used her iPhone to take a picture, but the sun casted dark shadows over our faces. We used Instagram to lighten up the photo and posted it. It looked great!

Instagram is FREE and I love this app!
